In greater grapple, it states maintaining a grapple is a move action. You can make two grapple checks per round to move, pin, or damage. But does not need to make two checks. If one succeeds, he maintains. I am wondering, can I chose to maintain as a move and then standard to punch it?

Yes.

With that, does it then mean that one check can(as a move action) maintain and say, pin. Then standard to attack?

Yes.

In fact you can do all sorts of stuff with greater grapple.

Round 1 Move up and grapple one guy 1 handed at -4.
Round 2 Move action to maintain grapple on guy 1 (at -4 because still 1 hand +5 to maintain), use this to drag (at half speed) guy 1 over to guy 2. Standard action grapple guy 2 with 1 hand at -4.
Round 3 Maintain Guy 1 (at -4, +5) to pin as a move action, Maintain Guy 2 (at -4, +5) as a standard, to pin as well.
Round 4 Maintain on both guys, now drag them around the battlefield pinned to show off your awesome wrestling skills.

One of my favorite actions with two guys grappled was to drop one as a free, use a move action to maintain to tie up one guy and then my standard to regrapple the guy I dropped.
