help-spell sundering bloodrager

Advice

I have a(nother) new campaign coming up and I was planning on making a spell sundering barbarian. The character is the child of one of my old characters and her mother is practically enslaved by magic by an evil organization(hence her obsession with overcoming magic effects).
I have never really made a melee character so I am obviously at a bit of a loss. The only thing that I know for sure is that I wanted a melee build and I want to sunder spells because it seems awesome. Considering her heritage, a bloodrager seems a more natural fit than a barbarian but they don't get rage powers so I was thinking of mixing the two.
If I go barb to 2 and then bloodrager X I could get spell sunder at 6 where the barbarian would (if I go primalist) but I may be over looking something and I don't want the character to be terrible. I also am unsure on feats and ability score placement (25 point buy) and was leaning toward str 17,dex 14,con 14,int 10,wis 10,chr 12
Race would need to be human or aasimar.
I was thinking of taking arcane bloodline
I guess my biggest question is; would i be much better of just going barbarian?
Should I go the dragon deciple (after 2barb/4bloodrager/dragon deciple x) for best chance to sunder do to massive strength?
And also can I have some general advice on the build?
Thanks in advance

There is a Bloodrager archetype in the Advanced Class guide called the Primalist. Primalists can trade away their Bloodrager rage powers for Barbarian Rage powers. So you don't need to multiclass at all to get Spell Sunder on a Bloodrager.

Go barbarian if you want a bunch of rage powers. Bloodragers with Primalist are limited to a max of 10 (5 replacements, can't take Extra Rage Power) and you lose almost all of your bloodline powers for it. If you're only going for the Spell Sunder chain you can just do Bloodrager. Dragon Disciple isn't really that useful for you, remember, Strength Surge keys off of barbarian/bloodrager level so you want to dip as little as possible (and you want Strength Surge, +level to CMB yes please). You're better off dipping alchemist/mutagen warrior/investigator for the mutagen for stat boost instead of dumping that many levels into a prestige class. Alchemists come with standard action extracts of enlarge person too. You can also get beast totem (rage power) for a scaling NA bonus.

I know this isn't that useful for you, but this feat also does something similar. Dwarf and 10th level fighter only though.

Dragon Disciple is great for making a character with caster levels more smashy, but I'm not sure it's all that much use to a Bloodrager. I mean, when Dragon Disciple is giving you levels of sorcerer casting plus 3/4 bab and strength, wonderful. When you're losing bab and casting levels and rage powers... what's the appeal?

Grand Lodge

Your actually looking for a primalist arcane bloodrager.

You want to trade out 2 powers (preferably level 12 and 16) for rage powers superstitious, witch hunter, and spell sunder. You would have 1 extra power. Come and get me comes to mind.

For a boost to str you can take eldritch heritage and improved eldritch heritage orc to get the scaling strength bonus without losing any further abilities like powers, casting, and rage rounds.

Its a very strong build tho.

Agreed on dragon disciple.
I did think about going straight primalist, but then I don't get spell sunder until 8. We are starting at level one so I don't want to push her schtick back.
I was thinking I could get spell sunder up at 6 (like a regular barbarian) as well as a few spells, at 10 have displacement/haste, at 14 have come and get me/strength surge if the game goes that far.
Would barbarian and bloodrager levels stack for strength surge?
How does the ability score placement look?
Any advice on feats and traits I should look at?

Bloodrager and Barbarian would not stack for Strength Surge. They don't stack for anything else either so you wouldn't get Spell Sunder until Bloodrager 6th (and character level 8th) no matter what happens.
I personally would drop strength to 16 (use the racial here) and get charisma to 14 but I think that's just a personal preference.

Also, I just realized you thought the barb and bloodrager stack, they don't. They each have their own "barbarian level" for qualifying for these things. You don't get Spell Sunder until character level 8th unless you go pure barbarian. Barb 2/blood 6 gets it with Extra Rage Power (which is actually a pretty good build if you like your bloodline powers), blood 8 gets it by trading out the level 8 ability.

So, after seeing the massive flaw in my plan I have settled on barbarian (possibly invulnerable rager).
Human
Traits: survivor, destructive (if I take 2 drawbacks I get two more; leaning toward classically schooled and bred for war)
Ability scores: str16,dex14,con14,int8,wis14,chr12
Skills: sense motive, perception, spellcraft, intimidate (human)
Later planning on getting a cloak of the hedge wizard for detect magic-spell sunder
Also looking at stunning irruption because hilariousness when/if it works
Looking at lucerne hammer/greatsword/earth breaker and leaning toward the earth breaker (Obviously targeting furious and adamantine when I get the coin)
Still could use some help on the weapon and feats

Invulnerable Rager is always a good choice.
So a few good feats:

Power Attack. Duh.
Improved Sunder. Unless you want every spell sunder to provoke.
(Con 15) Raging Vitality. Don't lose rage when you go unconscious, +2 more Con while raging.
Extra Rage Power. There's a lot of good ones.
Extra Rage Power. I'm sure there's a few more that look fun.
Extra Rage Power. Okay, so maybe just one more.
Racial Heritage (Orc). This gives access to Thrill of the Kill (regain rage round with kill of HD>=yours), Gore Fiend (regain rage on crit or being critted), and Destroyer's Blessing (regain rage on successful sunder, heal 1 HP if you break it).
(Two-weapon Fighting, Weapon Focus (earthbreaker), Weapon Focus (klar)) Thunder and Fang. Use an earthbreaker one-handed. Reduces the penalty for using a klar in your off-hand, but nothing's stopping you from just dual-wielding earthbreakers instead. This is more for fun than power though.
(Die Hard, Endurance, BAB +4/+11) Stalwart/Improved Stalwart. Fight defensively/total defense/Combat Expertise to gain DR=dodge bonus you would normally get (normally 2/4/scaling) that stacks with your own DR. Improved doubles it. Add Crane Style/Riposte and 3 ranks of acrobatics for fighting defensively to only be -1 to attack and +4 to dodge, or -1 attack for +8 DR. This is best done by dipping out of barbarian though (Unbreakable Fighter gives Die Hard/Endurance, Master of Many Styles/Unarmed Fighter for Crane Style/Riposte and skipping prereqs).
Any of the <condition> Assault feats. -5 to attack for every hit to provoke a save. Combine with a regular Full Attack, Pounce, Whirlwind Attack, Come and Get Me, it's all good. Dazing is a personal favorite, especially on Come and Get Me.
Stunning Irruption is nice but you need to talk to your GM. As written it includes your allies and you. Doesn't make it less funny, just hampers the power somewhat. Also Strength Surge is made for this. Breaking things is a Strength Check, Strength Surge can add to that (and is the only scaling thing that can, I think).

The weapon choices are honestly irrelevant as long as you pick something big and two-handed. Hell, one-handed and you just two-hand it to use it is also fine. Personally I rolled with a Nodachi (better Falchion) but I enjoy crits. Let me know if you want some Rage Power advice
