Since we know the Machinesmith is one of the favorite artificer / crafter classes for Pathfinder, we decided to take it one step further and create a Mythic Path for the class.
And with that we have the Futurist.
This is the first rough draft version of the class that we are releasing so you Pathfinder fans can go over it, kick the tires on it and just see what we did right and wrong. So this class will be available for a limited time and writer, Jonathan Palmer, will be following this thread, commenting and explaining issues that need to be fixed.
This link to this playtest PDF will be available for only a limited time

A few cursory thoughts
Surprise grenade feels a bit weak. As a mythic character throwing an extra grenade with a save penalty feels a bit meh.
Energy Shot is cool but the name implies something other than force damage. Expanding it to encompass damage types might be more versatile and interesting
Energy boost is great and has many uses, both offensive and defensive.
Astounding Disable is something that can already be done via feats or rogue class features if I'm not mistaken. While cool, the only reason to take it is if you don't have a rogue.
As for Avoid Mishap, if your wielding firearms you likely already have the ability to avoid misfires. This is kind of standard for gunslingers so it doesn't seem to special for a mythic character.
Bane of ignorance seems..ignorant. Hating creatures because they aren't capable of thought seems pretty ignorant in and of itself. the bonus would be better against creatures whose INT falls below a certain threshold or those in a state of rage, perhaps even if they have the rage ability.
Bigger gun. LOVE IT. until now only goblins could do this with a feat, but the idea behind it is great and highly cinematic. \

Astounding disable was lifted right off the trickster. The closest thing rogues have as far as I can tell is quick disable which is not as good here. It's just a natural thing for the futurist to have since their primary focus is stuff.
Avoid mishap is also for more than firearms. Timeworn technology can suffer glitches too. And it's honestly pretty handy to have as an ability for anyone who wants to wield firearms or laser pistols.
One thing I highly suggest for anyone who wants to use this in their game is to include the technology guide in as well. Way I see it if you're playing mythic and worried about balance the tech guide is basically throwing a bucket into the ocean.

I like this a great deal and see a lot of potential in it. There are somethings I don't like (technological singularity comes to mind, mainly because what it does doesn't mesh up to what I thought of when I read the title). Looking forward to seeing some kind of update to this... assuming that there will be one before it releases.

The title may change honestly. I picked it cause I liked how it sounded (more itneresting than artificial intelligence) but unless that construct goes on to make better constructs who go on to make better constructs ad infinium than the name doesn't necessarily fit.
