Fate's Favored Half Orc

Advice

Which is the best class to take advantage of a half-orc's Sacred Tattoo + Fate's Favored?

Any class really. I don't know of a cass that doesn't like a free +2 to all saves for an alternate racial trait. What are you trying to do, exactly?

Silver Crusade

Any class that can grab Divine Favor, really. Add in a Luck stone and you got some nice bonuses

Basically any divine caster with divine favor who wants to melee and the Archaeologist bard. Both of those gets luck bonuses to attack and damage and fate's favored double those at lv1.

well the classes that either have very low saves or those that have ultra high saves fit this best. My logic is because your either filling a big hole in your character with as little effort as practical or playing to a great strength.

Towards the strong: Paladin, anyone with divine protection feat, monks, and inquisitors.

Weak: Most arcane casters, rogues, and anyone with just one good save really.

Archeologists and anyone with similar luck bonuses should NEVER be a half orc as its just a waste then. And I would not recommend those that have two good saves take it unless you had other reasons to play the half orc anyway and couldn't use the other traits.

Just remember any option that gives you a Luck bonus to saves is wasted since like bonuses don't stack.

Archaeologist. It lets you get that bonus to saves without using your luck and you're going to want Fate's Favored anyway. I disagree with Renegadeshepherd as I see getting a bonus on saves before you get your swift action to luck quite valuable, like not getting stunned before it's your turn.

I think Paladin or Warpriest would do nicely, then.

beside half orcs. some other luck bonuses that can use the faith's favored tarit (some won't stack with each other), take note of the last one. can be used to replace the whole half orc tatooed thing.

- halfing with the 'Adaptable Luck' alt racial trait.

- bard with the archiolegist arch type

- ranger wit the Galvanic Saboteur arch type

- using the spells : Harrowing,Divine Favor,Calculated Luck,Lucky Number,

- using magical items : 'luck blade','Stone of Good Luck (Luckstone)',using healing on the character, while caster has a magical 'Symbol of Luck' ,Luck Mail-lesser\Greater ,

- Headband of Fortune’s Favor - i put this magical item by itself since it has more then 1 benefit.
first it gives +1 luck to saves (which basicly mean that any race can get that +2 to saves like the tatooed half orc, and it wont stack with a tatooed half orc.
seconed it will increase the duration of other luck effect by 1 more round - this is a HUGH deal for archiolegist. since they spend thier luck on a round to round base. and with the 'lingering' feat this will mean every 1 round last for 3 more rounds = X4 of the daily rounds of luck per day(this is very importent since some DM claim that the luck rounds of this claas does not increase per level, as it is not mantioned like the normal bard's performance ability).

Luck bonuses do stack, as do dodge bonuses and untyped bonuses.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but can I get the source of that, please? Thank you. :)

Nope. Luck Bonuses do not stack.

It works on any class and to me +2 to all 3 saves is the equivalent to 3 feats.

What classes capitalize best: War priest, archaeology bards, and anything that can naturally gives luck bonus.

What items pair: Jingasa of the fortunate soldier and luck stone. Tho the half orc gets less from the luck stone since he already is getting +2 to saves already.

While it doesn't get any extra mileage out of fate's favore the cool new thing for Half-Orcs is to get amplified rager going with a valet familar and be a skald to get your familiar raging with you. With Spell Kenning the Skald can even cast Divine Favor but only a few times per day.

Wow, that's a good idea.
Man, I should really figure out about using familiars and such, eh?

Huh, you're right. Okay, you got me. I got one wrong.

How did that idea get stuck in my head?

My cleric of Shelyn is using Fate's Favored to great effect. I was actually surprised at how good her saves were as I forgot the Protection domain grants a scaling resistance bonus to saves.
