hmm, oh and DM can we errata the game into being less wonky? There's too many skills, enchanting is a little absurd (have to have a trait for each school rather than just enchanting spells you know) only katanas get tearing, all axes are unbalanced etc etc.

I hope I'm calculating luck correctly. It seems like it starts at 1, but I can't quite find the rules supporting that.

Luck is calculated this way:

Starts at 30, add 2d10 (or buy it up using points from the 90-point buy) for everyone. Page 28 of the PDF, under Rolling Characteristic Scores, second paragraph.

Starts at 30, for real? That seems insanely high...

Ah, yeah, it does say it though. Words it really weird, but there it is. Welp, Xa's luck should be exactly 30 higher, then.

In fact, I think I'll fiddle around with my stats a little, if i don't have to spend on luck.

Revised sheet: http://pastebin.com/cAaqsmw9

Now I can get Crippling Strikes without having to pay a ton of extra XP to boost my strength first. Should be handy.

EDIT: A friend of mine is interested in joining, but cannot into paizo's forums. here's his character sheet: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1HUKTZ-E3JJMBZ3ZPLSItbv7Trkqf8gf4xJtzf7O xEbQ/edit

Sorry, the file you have requested does not exist.

Make sure that you have the correct URL and that the owner of the file hasn't deleted it.

I done goofed. Try this one.

EDIT: Paizo is doing weird stuff with links. It puts a space into the url. Take out the space and it works fine.

Yay, DM returns. I had a question earlier if you missed it:

SkeletonBait wrote:
unarmed parrying doesn't actually negate damage from armed attacks, it only gives a chance to remove special effects from the opponent/allows for defensive SFX like any other parry. Is there going to be a houserule where unarmed parrying does negate damage? Perhaps with a talent I can get later? Or should I just use evade if I want to go on the defensive? It's not a huge deal - my evade is only 10 less than my weapon skill, and if push comes to shove I can always just use a staff or something, but I figured I'd ask beforehand.

Maybe later. Why, it might even be tied to your Combat Style skill.

Sorry to see you go, hope all is well.

During character creation do I spend half the Crp on my favored Skills or does this apply only to post character creation when I will be spending XP?
I'm like 90% certain that XP = CrP in all cases, except that XP can't be spent on certain things, such as Luck or starting cash.

What SkeletonBait said.

Came from the /tg/ thread. Was thinking of doing an Argonian but now I see there is already one up.

Now I'm thinking of doing an Altmer Mystic who is super butt-mad about the Thalmor taking over Alinor and left home after the Great War. Thinking Psijic stuff for his big power. Working out char creation now.

Glad to have you on!

We can hammer this out pre-game. I personally like the skills as are, though some streamlining might be in order. But we'll discuss this later.

Okay, so for character submission so far we have:
~ Charles D’Châtilyon - Breton - Former Reachman Mystic
~ Z'keer - Cathay-Raht Khajiit - Enchanter Thief (?)
~ Caen gro-Balog - Orsimer - Smith and Battlemage
~ Xa-Raku - Argonian - Healer Boxer
~ Annirico Veridil - Altmer - No clue beyond what his description was since it appears that his edited character sheet wasn't properly loaded up, but Psijic-like anarachist mage

I think I'll stick it out for just two more profiles and then choose the four.

Oop, sorry. Pastebin it is then. No idea what this issue was. http://pastebin.com/bwrdspn7

khajiit thief is meant to be guerrilla fighter, emphasis on the traditional khajiiti weapons of claw, spear, knife, and tomahawk. Also some enchanting skills because guerilla.

Hello. I would like to add my character to the list of submitted characters. He is an Altmer Necromancer, who has performed the Rite of Unlife to become a Lich. I am relatively inexperienced with the system, and assumed that they would allow for the same amount of Characteristic Advances as Dark Heresy. In addition to this, I used Point-Buy to build his characteristics. I can easily redo these things if anything is found to be disagreeable by you. I respect your decisions as to the chosen four, and if I am not among them, I have no problem with your choice. However, I would prefer to be among them. This link should hopefully work, but requires an account on 4shared. If you do not know how to use 4shared, once you have an account you only need to click on the 'download' button, then choose the option for a free download and wait for 20 seconds. The link is to an edited editable character sheet, as given in the same Mediafire folder as the Core-book and Supplements. If the link does not work, merely alert me, and I shall change it to something else as soon as I can. Thank you for reading my message. I hope that you have a good day.

Oh. I forgot. I am still writing my character's backstory, and will present a pastebin containing the fully written text once I am done. Thank you.

Edit: Here is a link to a more recent version of the character sheet. Some spelling mistakes and omissions were fixed, and equipment was reworked.

It's the DM's call, but I can't help but feel like playing a lich will somehow be disruptive to the rest of the party. At the very least, my argonian will immediately see it as an abomination to be destroyed, so...y'know, maybe invest in some illusion spells/a paper bag.

From reading the lich rules in the Arcane Arts supplement, you do not immediately become a skeleton. If you did, you would gain the Skeletal Trait by taking the Elite Advance. Instead, you would decompose into a skeleton over a long period of time. So, if I was playing a character who had relatively recently became a lich, I could invest in a mask or something similar to cover my face and no one would be the wiser unless they had to check my pulse or cast Turn Undead on me. I might remove the Lich part, anyway, and just play a necromancer who knows how to become a Lich.

I guess that works. My character will still be really leery of anything that makes the dead get up and walk around, but I guess it could be bluffed out of.

Anyone else amused by the irony of someone named SkeletonBait playing a character leery of the undead?

What irony? I'm bait for skeletons because my character beats them up. It makes thematic sense ~

Back! Alright so we have as follows:

~ Charles D’Châtilyon - Breton - Former Reachman Mystic
~ Z'keer - Cathay-Raht Khajiit - Enchanter Thief/Guerilla Fighter
~ Caen gro-Balog - Orsimer - Smith and Battlemage
~ Xa-Raku - Argonian - Healer Boxer
~ Annirico Veridil - Altmer - Mage
~ Eandril Illieth - Altmer - Mage (leaning Lich)

And at least one person has PM'd me and I like their build idea, so once they submit it I'll be closing the recruitment and then make my choice. And yeah, you slowly decay. Thankfully, Skyrim is coldish so you should be fine for a while. Though trips abroad might bring trouble...

So, what's the status on this game? Is it still happening? If so, when? Because that seventh potential player seems not to have shown up.

Yeah, it's been a week, what's the status?

agreed, are we doing roll 20 or what?

It seems as if we didn't get a response.

I'm gonna bow out of this one. My real life group has issues with responsiveness, and I really don't want to have to re-live them here.
