D.Greyman Akuma. Quick and easy way.

I am working on converting Innocence from the anime D.Greyman when an idea for the akuma(demons) occurred to me.
For those who don't know the show, akuma are created from the souls of the recently dead, called back by grieving loved ones and placed into a special frame by the Millennium Earl.
They exhibit very basic abilities and intellect at first but 'evolve' as they kill more people.(gain xp and advance)

My idea is, Unfettered Eidolon as the base creature.
They all have a special base form to start with. A floating orb with 'guns' that fire energy bolts and the ability to take on a specific human form.

So I'd say use the serpent base form for stats, lose the tail and bite evolutions, gain magic flight, armour boost and a ranged touch attack that does Force damage. I'd put the damage at about 1d8 + Cha mod and can make as many attacks as they have natural attacks.
They also gain the ability to take on the form of a specific humanoid form. most low levels only use this form to get close to victims as they aren't intelligent enough to use it socially.

They 'evolve' in the same way as the Unfettered Eidolon. I would give them access to all the Summoner Eidolon evolutions that don't require a Summoner to work. Use their HD as their Summoner level for those that have a level requirement.

After gaining their 8th hit dice they can change what their base form is. This new form becomes their permanent one.

Thoughts?
