Who would like to see Sean K Reynolds and myself doing a LIVE Transparency Agenda episode talking about Pathfinder Roleplaying Game, game design and other cool stuff like that February 16th on GoogleHangout on Air?

Best Case Scenario: Brainstormed transformation of the RPG industry.
Worst Case Scenario: Two self-assured guys with strong opinions disagreeing in public and sparking something that makes Gamergate look small. "It's about balance in game design!" shall be the slogan.

Too bad. I'd love to know what SKR has to say but I'm kind of philosophically opposed to podcasts/videocasts because...
"150–160 words per minute, which is the range that people comfortably hear and vocalize words.
The average adult reads prose text at 250 to 300 words per minute."
... I have better things to do with my time than absorb words at half a civilized rate, completely ignoring the "ums", "uhs", and "hmmmms" typical to spoken word.
Call me when there's a transcript.

Humanity has a whole shares your sentiments. TVs and radio are truly poor forms of information conveyance.
I wasn't looking to derail the thread... my goal was just to not be a silent abstainer and instead make my preference for text known. Just registering a comment is all.
That said, while you're being funny, you're right. I expect you're implying that the popularity of TV and radio disprove my thesis. Thing is, there's a difference between entertainment and information dissemination. TV and radio are great for Nickleback marathons and re-runs of Totally Not Fake Housewives Of Wherever, but other than dropping tone, for raw information text is king.
Or... would you rather I record this as an MP3 and upload it somewhere you can stream it from? Because this discussion could waste more time. <Grin>

So with the date announcement I want to know: What questions would you like to ask SKR, myself or both of us? Nothing will be off limits so you can ask anything you want about game design, Pathfinder hell better still the rumors you have heard about us. Feel free to ask those tough questions ND tough answers you want to hear.

So about these accusations of cannibalism...
(I'm sorry I haven't had the chance to use that line in like five years)
One thing I'm personally curious about is how you (as a 3pp) handle cases where you've realized you did something wrong but the book is already in print. Do you publish an errata and wait? Leave it alone until or unless someone else notices? Reprint the book with corrections? And how much do those options cost, in terms of both PR and stone cold cash?

I'd like to politely request a transcript. :)
Like Anguish, I generally dislike video / podcast to get information. Entertainment is different, but if it's primarily informational, I'm an order of magnitude more likely to check it out if I can read it than only if I can hear it or watch it - I also have limited chances to actually LISTEN to something due to distractions, office environment, etc.
Web pages with videos without summaries or transcripts? I close the tab and move on. :)

Probably because the link is an advanced one; the actual web chat thing is tonight. The link will only activate when both gentlemen are logged into Google Hangout+ and Louis triggers the broadcast.
Its sort of like triggering a trap card in Yu-Gi-Oh!, but with less chance of being banished to the Shadow Realm. (Only a slightly smaller chance, however.)
