Heart of the Sea and Marine Terror

Advice

The Exchange

I made a Viking character, Ulfen race and took the Heart of the Sea racial trait. This trait states.

Humans born near the sea are always drawn to it. They gain a +2 racial bonus on Profession (sailor) and Swim checks, and these are always class skills for them. They can hold their breath twice as long as normal, and spellcasters gain a +4 racial bonus on concentration checks when attempting to cast spells underwater. This racial trait replaces skilled.

In terms of leveling up, I was looking at possibly taking the Sea Reaver archetype at 3rd level. They have the Marine Terror ability which provides them with the following.

A sea reaver can hold her breath for a number of rounds equal to four times her Constitution score. In addition, a sea reaver can move normally though squares of standing water or bog that is 1 foot deep. It does not cost her extra movement to traverse these terrains. Lastly, a sea reaver ignores the normal cover bonus to AC when attacking creatures that are partially immersed in water. This ability replaces fast movement.

My question is, do they stack. There was one instance I could find that asked this, though they used an example for their con.

Right now my character's Con is 14, giving him a +2 Modifier.

How many rounds could my character potentially hold their breath?

Grand Lodge

Normally, 28 rounds, with subtractions for being active.

With either the trait or the archetype, alone, 56 rounds.

Given the phrasing of the trait, and with both of them taken, it looks like 112 rounds.

Of course, with the right sourcebook, the whole thing becomes moot. Air crystals break the whole thing, anyhow.

Air Crystals

Does that minute have to be consecutive?

So, hold your breath for 2xCon, then a free action on the round you would have to start making Con checks, and that resets your timer, yes?

10 uses, since the crystals last for one minute of use, so Con 10 can last 100 rounds or so...

The Exchange

So potentially with them both it is 112 rounds of holding breath, with the possibility of 224 rounds with those Air Crystals?

1120 rounds using the air crystals at 112 round intervals. (or 112 minutes total)
