This thread in the Customer Service forum says that the "Dagger +1" cards in the Errata Deck incorrectly show the 'FINESSE' trait.

Is this correct? I can confirm that the trait is indeed on the "Dagger +1" cards in the errata deck - is this a mistake, or is this how the cards are intended to be?

I'm also still unsure as to what to do about the missing "Blessing of the Gods C" in early copies of the Errata Deck (such as the one I have).

Paizo appear to be offering a replacement card, but this is going to be from a 2nd Printing Character Add-On deck. That's not going to be a good colour match for a 1st printing card.

As I see it, my choices are:

  • Include this one 2nd printing card with my other cards (all either 1st printing or from the errata deck designed for use with 1st printing cards)
  • Keep one original "Blessing of the Gods C" without the new wording.
  • Use a deck that is missing one "Blessing of the Gods"
  • Don't use any of the "Blessing of the Gods" errata deck cards.

I'm not really happy with any of those options. What I'd like would be to be able to get a replacement card that matches all my other errata deck cards, but there doesn't seem to be a way for me to do that.

If the Finesse trait is correct for the card then we won't have to worry there..

As far as Blessing of the Gods, it's slightly tweaking my ultra low levels of OCD, but in the end the wording on the card doesn't matter all that much. I just left the one Incorrect "C" card in my deck. We were playing it correctly anyway. Just leave the one odd card in there, no one is going to notice. How often do you actually read a BotG anyway?

Now final errata deck version reached?
No misrakes? Complete?
Double checked?
Triple checked?

It looks like I have some Adventure Decks from the first printing and some from the second printing. Might be better to just get everything errata'd from the first one, I guess.

But I'm more than willing enough to pay $22.95 for this!

Oh.. I just found it's $17,75 to get this shipped.
Isn't there a possibility to opt this for subscribing members (non-subscribing) to get this sent from Paizo with any order? Like in May with WotR? Or something like that. I really want those errata'd cards, but €40 for some cards and shipping just seems like just a little bit too much.

What are you talking about? Are you asking if they've changed the sets on DriveThruCards? I think the only change possible at this point is the extra Blessing of the Gods but I don't think they've changed that.

The only problem with this is that DriveThruCards is a separate company from Paizo and I don't think the errata sets are offered on Paizo.com. (Not that I've seen from a cursory search.)

Aah. I thought Paizo just distributed them via DriveThru, which I already found weird since they had their own Webshop.

Ah well, maybe someday I'll feel compelled to pay €17,75 for shipping, but not today.

Where are you from?

There is a slight possibility that the German company "Ulisses Spiele" will buy a few of the errata packs. Then you will have cheap European shipping costs.

I think this is necessary for the STANDARD OFFICIAL Errata packs to be EITHER mirrored somewhere for eg. European sale OR Paizo will sell a few of these withthe subscription...

It is all about shipping costs optimization!

Just read another thread.

Vic said after 12th. March all errata packs are finalized and complete. No blessing missing anymore. Just wanted to get a confirmation by a buyer...

I'm from Holland, so if I were to be able to get them from Germany, that would be awesome!

Got fast feedback from German company.
They will so far not sell the errata packs.

Vic,
How about mirroring the official errata packs somewhere in Europe.
Just think of your European customers from England, Holland and Germany...

What do you think?

Just saw that Sajans drunken master role was errataed. Is this already in the Drivethrucards errata pack included?

Paizo Employee Chief Technical Officer

That ruling was made prior to the DriveThru decks, yes.

I thought it would make sense for Paizo to order a few hundreds of each kind of errata deck from DriveThruCards and sell them here on the Paizo Store. That would allow us to combine the errata decks with our regular subscription shipments.

Obviously, it doesn't (make sense), or they would have done it already. But I'm still not sure why this is a bad idea.

Please.... I also proposed that some time ago.

For international customers this is invitable.

Perhaps Drivethru aren't set up for wholesale?

Besides, shipping from drivethru to Paizo and then to the customer is unlikely to alleviate much of the shipping costs from buying from drivethru direct (even if there is some bulk discounts on the first leg and some subscription bundling on the second).

Sovereign Court

Yea even though Paizo owns PACG, I wouldn't be surprised to see something their contract with Drive Thru that they can't sell the packs through this site. If Paizo's regular printers were doing it that'd be different.

Grand Lodge

DriveThru* (RPG, Comics, Cards, etc.) has been around for a while and they are their own company. But where Ultra-Pro and other manufacturers/companies allow Paizo to sell through the Paizo store, DriveThru probably doesn't have that agreement like Andrew said.

DriveThru has been known for their Print-on-Demand ability and I'm glad they can do that for cards as well. But Paizo's card printer, Cartamundi, wouldn't consider printing up stacks and stacks of errata cards. Their operation is designed to print the base sets, adventure decks, class decks as well as MtG sets and many other companies' products.

I've been thinking about it a bit more and maybe I'm just unconsciously comparing to Fantasy Flight Print on Demand. Fantasy Flight Games does print on demand for some Star Wars RPG card decks, which they sell directly on their web site and make available through the usual distribution channels. The customer can buy the decks just wherever Fantasy Flight products are sold. I don't know if they do Print on Demand in-house or if they contract another company to do it, though; this could explain the difference, of course.

Now, if you're just the average PACG player coming to the Paizo PACG page, after a bit of clicking around, you'll find:
• the FAQ (which doesn't mention the errata decks at all),
• the errata cards PDF (which doesn't mention any way to get the cards in print from another company).

At the moment, the print version of the errata deck just looks like some kind of secret beta project not ready for public consumption. Knowing the amount of time that got poured into the production of the deck, I think maybe it should be easier to find out about its existence (as far as I know, it is only mentioned on these boards and in a blog post where it is sharing the spotlight with the Community Card Creator, and is mentioned almost as an after-thought).

What I'm saying is that it could definitely be easier to buy this thing.

Edit: In fact, it feels like a licensed product (complete with the guest writer for the blog post mentioned above), but it doesn't appear on the Licensed Products page.

FFG's on-demand printing is indeed in house; this is one of the reasons they put a warning on all on-demand product that card texture and color might be slightly different than their regular retail offerings.
