I want to remake my Destiny's Twin

Pathfinder Online

Goblin Squad Member

I'm not worried about the January exp. Can I delete and remake?

Pretty please? :)

If you delete your Destiny's Twin, you lose the Destiny's Twin perk.

Goblinworks might be willing to do something to help you out, but you probably need to email customer.support@goblinworks.com.

Good luck.

'ol Buurz makes me warm and fuzzy. What I wouldn't give for her lullabies and magical fish stew!

Her beard is fine as a dwarfen lass' chinnie
The scent of fish on 'er toes and fingers
Between 'er legs the same scent lingers
Some men and dwarves lust golden haired whinnies
But I, oh yes Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii,
Would spend all o' me pennies,
To have and to keep a single Fishwiiife!

Salut!

We are not allowing players to delete and re-make Destinys Twin characters. If we did it for one person we'd have to do it for everyone and suddenly that snowballs totally out of control.

You'll have the ability to change all the visual aspects of your character. We'll have some system with various paid & free options to change other things like names and races. So you'll be able to re-customize your character's visuals at some point in the future.

Woo hoo! I cannot tell you how happy this makes me. It was either a feature like this or all of my characters were going to become half-elves.

Hopefully if a character rename is allowed there will be a history available so people can see what the character was previously called.

The ability to create havoc and then do a PFO version of a plastic surgery/identity change to avoid any consequences will probably appeal to many people but is a bad idea.

The plastic surgery bit, yes. The name changing, no. Currently if someone mouses over you on the minimap or clicks on you, they see your name. This is actually a problem. There is no reason why I should not be known as Kradlum when I am in Stoneroot Glade and pick a completely different name when I am in, say, Brighthaven.

There should be an ability to change your name, perhaps linked to Bluff and Disguise skills, countered by Perception.

If it were possible to mouse over/click on me in real life, you would not see the name that I go by.

On the one hand I agree with what you're saying and that will be how it is in any game I make. That being said how can this be implemented without compleatly contradicting the reputation system. After all if people don't know you how would they have a clue you killed somone a few minutes ago out of view? What you are suggesting would only be implemented in a true sandbox game. PFO is still only a semi sandbox as players behavior is controlled to some extent.

What is the status for players who started in January and haven't created a DT yet. Are these DTs still fully backdated or do they start with 1000XP.
I have one player with such a situation. I could kick him for not spending the 5 minutes to generate his DT before 1st February. But hey - he paid and is busy in other games right now. So not for me to 'judge his playstyle'.

Goblin Squad Member

They start with 1000XP only. No more backdating, DT make overs, nor respecs.

When Assassins are implemented, they'll have a Disguise ability that does this, among other things.

There's lots of reason. You may disagree with those reasons, or believe them insufficient, but that's not the same as "no reason".

Reputation becomes meaningless if there's no way to tie a reputation to an identity. In the real world, people can recognize each other by face, size, shape, scent, gait, and other factors which simply don't exist in an MMO. You can say with confidence that "that's the guy who mugged me" even if you don't know his name. But in an online game, you can't reliably tell one toon from another without some unique and reliable text label, i.e. a name.

Won't someone think of the immersion!

Thank you! I neglected to tell my non-forum-going friends that they could enter both a first and last name at character creation, and now they're pouting because I have a surname and they don't! Must keep the heathens happy!

Also, I really need to pick a less angry face for Deianira. She is the opposite of angry!

(not here on the boards.) You may have missed that some of the face options for characters in game are quite angry looking.

I had a girlfriend once who got this look on her face that looked really mad when.... well, she wasn't mad.

Great. It's not like I had anything better to do than imagine what an orc looks like when she's feeling--intense.
