What I said. There are a number of people who pretty much just talk crap without any logical arguments everything I suggest to try and improve this game. If we could mutually block each other this forum would be far more productive.

Use the "Ignore thread" function, the little circle with the slash on the far right of the thread.

Thanks Hardin, I never knew that was there.

Trouble is it's his own thread he's trying to ignore.

Just do what I do, ignore them. No special setting, every time you see their name, ignore what follows.

We don't have an ignore/block function, and probably won't ever implement this. If you're seeing posts/people who are causing issues, flag them or email us at community@paizo.com.

Ah, this old issue.

If I were you, I'd go lobby about this on the Goblinworks forum, which has a bit more chance of enabling such silliness. Then again, if I were you, I wouldn't want to do this. :P

Fixed that for you so I could favourite it.

I have had goat meat. Very stringy, but quite delicious. I preferred the very spicy sauce, but still quite tasty).

I compulsively favorite people who ask to be favorited, so thanks, Cal, for making it seem less douchey.

To get back to the OP, it really doesn't. One of the biggest things wrong with the world today is that we've found too many ways to ignore the people we don't agree with. Apparently stupid or not, people disagreeing with us is a good thing.

Meh how many discoveries and inventions happened due to the inventor/discoverers ability to ignore the stupid masses of nay Sayers. There are people who disagree on forums for no other reason then ego games.

Willful misinterpretations aside, all people trying to communicate a message must review what they wrote (or spoke) when it is not understood properly. If spelling and grammar are solid, it must be the writer's fault for not conveying the message properly. The ultimate question is this: Is the reader truly being unkind in their interpretation, or is the message unclear?

Hint: Crap talk is frequently a reaction to insulting language. This can lead to a downward spiral. Civil discourse for the win! (No, I'm not perfect either.)

Thanks to another_mage's script, I have had 3 people on ignore for over a year now. Thank you, another_mage. :)

Let's face it, some people are naturally abrasive, insulting and demeaning. Even though Chris does a great job of keeping these forums civil(hence only the three on my list), I do not care to read their dribble when they fall back in their ways.

I am also not here to try to teach them better ways, or argue with them untill they see the light.

And also, Irony.

And that is the difference between a successful person and the rest. "the inventor/discoverers ability to ignore the stupid" rather than relying on someone else to make it so they don't have to.

I value the ability of everyone to express their opinions here. I value individual opinions on individual matters less so. Blocking a person means that as well as their terrible opinions, you never see their valuable contributions.

An "Ignore" button is like a tutorial mode. Congratulations! You have reached level 5, and must now exit Internet Tutorial Island to proceed! Outside of the tutorial, you no longer have infinite lives, and must also learn to ignore posters you dislike without the use of the Tutorial Ignorance Button (which some later on also learn to use to ignore the valuable lessons they've derived from—hey, don't press that yet!).

Don't worry, Cal, you don't have to scratch that event off your list just yet.

Just start a tally. :)
