Backdating experience question

Pathfinder Online

So, I'm hoping this is something that will benefit myself but here is my question. Is this going to reset all of your experience? You will have to re-train whatever it was you were going for, etc.? I put a lot of points in useless stuff not realizing I couldn't fix that, lol. Thanks for any information.

I think you are missing some info.

If you mean having your DT reset because you built it in the first few hours and missed some XP, then yes, I imagine that for that character, it will be deleted completely and you'll have to build it from scratch. All achievements and skills will be gone if you take the option. Your other character will be unaffected. Personally, I think it's a pretty drastic option, and a lot of extra effort, for at most 800 or 900 xp, so I'm content to wait and see what happens (and won't even be concerned if it's never fixed). If you are at all intense about having the perfect mix of skills, though, I guess that's the choice.

If you're not talking about the DT-missing-XP-from-day-one-bug, then I don't know how to answer.

Sorry, I was starting up PFO and there was an announcement that experience was being backdated. I didn't know that meant only for DT accounts. I just bought the game last week and didn't know anything, so I kept running around to different guys leveling EVERYTHING which was stupid. I thought they were backdating experience for everyone and allowing them to "reroll" basically. If I was wrong, oh well.

Everything, like, everything? Unless you went really nuts it shouldnt be that bad a deal and you'll be using most of the stuff you bought eventually.

It is not just DT accounts. The first character created before the end of this month on any valid EE account will have exactly the same experience as if it had been created at the moment the game went live. There are a small number of DT accounts where that process failed, and they are being offered a chance to delete and restart those characters.

Thank you, that answers my question.

The backdated xp happens automatically when you create your first character which means you'll be starting with over 70k xp or something like that. It's not something you have to wait for. That hasn't been clearly said. Those starting on Feb 1st onward will start with 1k xp instead.
