I have a sorcerer looking at picking this up, and the best way to use this feat is from a spellbook.
Unfortunately while he has Read Magic and spell craft, the Spell Book feature isn't open to sorcerers.
Under PFS I can't see a way to buy a spellbook to use as they aren't on the purchase list or on any chronicles.
This means the only way to get a spell book is to dip into wizard (or arcanist/magus etc.)?
I write the spells myself per normal then pay the retraining cost and PP to return the level back to sorcerer, as the slowed sorcerer progression is already bad enough.
For a feat from the Pathfinder Society Primer this looks like a feat that has issues working fully in the PFS structure compared to a normal game.
Are there any other options open that are PFS legal?

There's nothing in the rules allowing a sorcerer to scribe spells. I've had a wizard write spells for my sorcerer for use with a Mnemonic Vestment. I payed the access cost and scribing costs, and I treat it as a borrowed spellbook (I have to analyze the writings.)
I looked into that, but it doesn't seem that having another PC do this for you is in the allowed transfer of wealth list. I saw it compared to paying an alchemist to make up Acid Flasks for you at 1/3 price when you supplied the ingredients.
If its a hireling wizard, is there a listing? The 3SP/day for an expert hireling probably doesn't seem to quite fit...
