is variant channeling worth it if..

Advice

Just wondering if variant channeling would be worth it , if i have 3 barbarians in the party?

Farming: Heal—Creatures ignore fatigue (but not exhaustion) for 1 minute. The healing effect is enhanced for plant creatures. Harm—The damage effect is enhanced for plant creatures. Creatures are fatigued, as if experiencing starvation.

Depends on how often they run out of rage. It wouldn't allow them to rage cycle -- the channel just allows them to ignore the effect of the fatigue, it doesn't cure it.

I say it's worth it. but just if there are freakin 3 barbarians in the party. will let them use their rage whenever they want. But beware, it's just useful low levels.

so you think it allows them to rage cycle? i was not sure if it did.

it would be fun for my healing shaman cause he is always making fun of the lazy barbarians for trying to take dirt naps all the time :)

Yes, i say they could rage cycle--it ignores the effect, that means there is no effect, until the time is met.

Worth it perhaps but I would t say optimal.

The way I read it, ignoring the effect is not enough.

They are still fatigued, so they can not enter a new rage. They may not be suffering the effects of it, but they are still fatigued.

I'd agree with BretI's interpretation on this. Ask your GM what take they have on it.

Ignoring fatigue is not the same as immunity to fatigue or removing fatigue. The condition is still there, you just aren't taking penalties for it. It will still prevent you from going into rage while it's there.

Well, tis really depends on if "inability to rage" is an effect of fatigue, because this allows them to ignore effects of fatigue.

If you ignore fatigue for one minute, then fatigue has no effect on you for one minute.

This is different from immunity of fatigue and removing fatigue because the fatigue is still there after the duration ends.

This is different from ignoring the penalties of fatigue, because a penalty is a numeric value subtracted from

If a barbarian ignores fatigue, they can act as if they were not fatigued, because they can ignore it.

Just like if you had an ability that let you ignore difficult terrain, you could act as if there was no difficult terrain, because you can ignore it.

I'm with Avoron on this one. Ability lets the player ignore the status of fatigue, not just the penalties. He can enter into a new rage.

Oh, I just realized I didn't finish one of my sentences:

"This is different from ignoring the penalties of fatigue, because a penalty is a numeric value subtracted from a check or a statistical score."
