Polymorph + don armor --> polymorph end?

Rules Questions

I read a post about donning armor after casting a polymorph spell (btw: this seems a great opportunity for that nifty Swift girding spell).

Now, what I wonder: What happens after the spell Ends. Am I now wearing 2 armors (assuming I did wear one before polymorphing)?
I assume this would RAW mean I am simply carrying extra weight and the higher of my armors is in effect, correct?

Cheers

I believe you are correct, assuming your form after the Polymorph wears off is compatible with the armor you put on.

Check with your Dungeon Master. As i have not seen an official rule on this issue.

For most forms that are compatible with wearing armor the armor you are wearing when you cast the spell remains on you. Most commonly this would be used if you transformed into something like a horse and wanted barding or some similar unusual armor. Obviously that would be incompatible with your original form.

The armor wouldn't transform in any way when the spell ended if it was donned after you cast the spell. I don't believe the game system has any specific rules for this, but I would imagine in most cases the GM interpretation a specific situation would range from annoying to very bad.
