Question about sacred geometry

Rules Questions

Scarab Sages

Laying aside the unlikelhood of a gm letting you take it I was wondering can you use the two metamagics picked with it normally? That is if you take sacred geometry and pick quickening and empowered can you then prepare a quickened magic missile in the normal higher spellslot or can you only apply quickened and empowered on casting by the prime constant rules?

Since it specifies "two metamagic feats you do not have yet", then under normal conditions you'd be limited to only using the feats with Sacred Geometry-- since you don't actually have Quicken or Empower Spell. If, however, you later pick up Quicken Spell (as nothing in Sacred Geometry seems to say that you can't), then yes, you could use it normally or with Sacred Geometry.

Sacred Geometry doesn't give you those meta-magic feats, it allows you to add them to a spell on a fly.

So no, sacred geometry alone won't let you prepare a spell with a meta-magic baked in.

Ah less useful than I thought thanks.

Well... with one general feat you get two metamagic feat.. So there should be a limitation, or no one would take metamagic, wouldn't they?
