The Monkey Goblin Savage Technologist Barbarian of my Dreams

Advice

So I am forever a DM and I don't have much chance to PC, but if I could, I would roll this character.
If anyone has any advice on how to make it better, mostly to influence my daydreaming, please let me know:

- Probably want to be a Monkey Goblin for the Prehensile Tail and the small size to help with accuracy and AC. Could use the Prehensile Tail to hold the pistol while I reload it while still holding a weapon on my main hand (a cutlass, likely).

- For traits, Black Powder Fortune is unbeatable, and perhaps something to still use Diplomacy with a low CHA, like Clever Wordplay or what not.

- For feats, the lucky ten I like are: Power Attack and Deadly Aim (extra damage is always good); Rapid Reload, Quick Draw, Amateur Gunslinger (Quick Clear) for fixing some of the action economy issues of using a gun; Gunsmithing seems a bit necessary unless the GM provides shops to buy guns; Opening Volley and Point-Blank Shot look like good choices, perhaps even Precise Shot, no need for Improved TWF since I'm not sure I could carry more than two bullets in a gun simultaneously? [DISCLAIMER: I've never played a firearm class.]; finally, Raging Vitality looks good for this build too for extra CON. Critical Focus would come into play in exchange for any of these.

- For Rage Powers, the ones that I think cannot be beaten are Reckless Abandon and Come and Get Me (considering the ridiculously high AC this build has), probably get the Beast Totem for natural armor to pump that AC higher (and the prerequisite lesser feat), Superstitious is always good. Not sure about the rest. Surprise Accuracy and its ilk sound nice but very limited. Perhaps the Disruptive line and the extra AoO one?

ALTERNATIVE BUILD
There's an alternative build that I like too -- using an Oversized Goblin (+2 STR, +2 DEX, -2 CHA for modifiers, Medium sized) or a regular Goblin possibly, and fight using a gun, a shield and the alternate racial trait bite attack. A bit more awkward, less fun not to use a cutlass though, but it can have higher AC and doesn't need a tail to reload weapons.

Hey, guys!

I'm playing non PFS with this build, using a regular small Goblin with a weapon cord cutlass (GM allows me to retrieve it as a swift action) and a pistol on the other hand.

However, the GM wants me to craft my bullets.

What do you think would be a nice build for this?

Planned:

1. Power Attack
2. Reckless Abandon
3. Rapid Reload
4. Superstition
5. Gunsmithing? Amateur Gunslinger (Quick Clear)? Opening Volley? No idea what goes here.
6. Disruptive
7. Deadly Aim
8. Savage Intuition
9. Deadly Aim
10. Scent
11. Combat Reflexes
12. Come and Get Me
13. Improved Critical (Cutlass)
14. Spellbreaker
15. Point-Blank Shot
16. Witch-Hunter
17. Precise Shot
18. Fearless Rage
19. Improved Precise Shot
20. Eater of Magic

Does this look good? Should I look into the Surprise Accuracy featline?

Goblins get oversized firearms, don't they? Oversized Firearm+Oversized goblin sounds pretty funny actually.

If you go with monkey goblin to hold your weapons for easy reloading, you could dual wield pistol-daggers. That way you can full attack at range while dual wielding.

I feel like 1 level in Gunslinger to get the free deed and feats is worth it for you. Could go Guntank for heavy armor prof (if you want mithral fullplate down the line maybe?).

Oversized Goblin cannot make use of Oversized Firearms... the feat says specifically it applies to Medium guns :7

I'd love any help with feats, rage powers or firearm selection!!

MOTHER FRIGGIN

BREAKER BARBARIAN:

Quote:
At 3rd level, the breaker barbarian suffers no penalty on attack rolls when using an improvised weapon or a weapon with the broken condition. In addition, she gains a +1 bonus on damage rolls with improvised or broken weapons for every three levels beyond 3rd.

STACKS WITH SAVAGE TECHNOLOGIST

IN YOUR FACE, MISFIRE!!!

That's actually rather good. Fits the theme too. For the record, you still suffer a damage loss and crit chance loss (though after level 6 the bonus balances out and by level 9 you are getting more damage bonus than damage loss). You also want to fix it because another misfire will make it explode.

Once I get a Revolver, that won't matter I think.

Secret Wizard, why must you make so many goblin dreams come true?

I won too many games on the back of Mogg Fanatic back in the day so I've developed a Pavlovian reaction.

See about getting a pistol of the infinite sky. It never misfires and never needs to be reloaded.

Then give it the broken condition. :)
