Perception does not get a rule exception to taking 2 minutes. The specific rule is that if the skill takes one round or less which would include perception that it takes 2 minutes.

Actually, the specific rule is that it takes 20 times longer than a single check, and then says it's usually 2 minutes for 1 round or less checks.
