Help finding / modding a mini

Scarab Sages

So, I'm a pathfinder player, a PFS player, and I've been known to paint a mini or two, but I've recently come up with a fantastically fun character concept. A mounted Wayang summoner on her Pegasus-looking eidolon. Here's the thing, there are no wayang minis, and (from what I can tell) no small characters riding pony minis at all, let alone pegasuses. I'm not versed in modding minis, but I'm willing to try. Does anyone have something that can point me in the right direction?

Full typed out stuff ready to link to? Nope, but I've modded minis for years, might be able to help out.

First thing you need to get is greenstuff. You can find it most easily (and cheaply) at a hardware store. Ask them for 2 part joint compound, the blue and yellow kind. That is what you sculpt with. When you're ready to go, you pull a little bit off of each stick and knead them together until they turn a uniform green. It'll be at lot like working with chewing gum, both in consistency and stickiness, so have a bowl of water handy to keep your tools wet.

The yellow part is the soft gummy stuff, the blue is the hard stuff. By default, you mix it 50/50, but if you want it thinner or to make it take longer to set up, use more yellow. Either way, it eventually hardens (in 30 min to an hour) into something you can easily sand and paint.

It also "glues" pieces together quite nicely.

Other than that, you'll want a jeweler's saw with it's thin blade to cut arms and legs off, a small knife blade file to "sand" the pewter with, and a set of clay sculpting tools you can get from Walmart (has little trowel shaped blades on pen like handles, little ice pick looking tools, etc).

Then just jump straight in! Try swapping a mini's arm for starters, sculpt it a backpack or some longer hair, whatever you like. It's not hard to get the hang of, although if you're not a teenager or 20 something anymore, look into one of those hands free desktop crafting magnifying glasses. Working on minis is hard on old fart eyes!

Thank you so much! I've been told before that I should use 'green stuff' but no one has told me where to find it or how to use it. This is very helpful.

Now, if I could ask your indulgance for just a second question . . .

God, when you hear this you are going to think much, much less of me when I say this.

I was thinking of getting a mini of some creature riding something (such as this 'blood gnome' by reaper: http://www.reapermini.com/FigureFinder#detail/14568 because his legs are up, cutting him off the mount, and mounting him on to a . . . my little pony figure (they are surprisingly, around the right size for a medium base) http://www.ebay.com/itm/Hasbro-My-Little-Pony-Blind-Bag-Pony-Princess-Twili ght-Sparkle-Cute-FS4-3-/351258540752?pt=TV_Movie_Character_Toys_US&hash =item51c8a3fad0

I'd probably have to cut the wings off and widen them in order to make room for the mini, but do you think that's work? I'm worried there's not going to be enough room to mount the little guy.
