The waitress comes back and she's obviously flustered - the traditional, square-cut black wig common amongst Osiriani residents of non-Garundi origin is askew and you see unkempt straw-colored hair peeking through.

Over the din in the tavern's main room you hear heated exclamations from a particular table, and then you see another group of adventurers, led by a woman in a extravagant purple outfit complete with wide-brimmed hat with a large ostrich plume sticking out of it.

Well if it isn't Mr. Lucky! Get assigned the city treasury this time?

The adventurers are a bit more cheerful this time, although the main braggart has a bandage wrapped around his head with a small blood stain showing over his right temple.

Me and my boys did alright today. You ever hear of Ptah? Apparently he used to be the ancient god of metalworking and we ended up exploring his temple.

You see broad grins from his companions across the table.

There were some nasty beasties in there and no mistake. But metalworking appeared to be a pretty good racket. From what we could see from the hieroglyphics it was a tradition to have a new smith's journeyman piece dedicated to the temple and put in a vault.

Five hundred years of gold, silver and jewelry all sitting there for the taking! Not to mention swords, armor, even one whole catapult.

Old Ibrahim's hauling that back for us and we're gonna sell it at an auction coming up. We'll see what day three brings but even if we have to ship it to Absalom to sell we're set for life.

His companions let out a cheer as they crash out-of-place silver drinking horns together.

At least we did better than those fools in the Scorched Hand. I heard they turned in a report to the Pharasman church and got into a huge blow-up with the high priestess!

The world's biggest kobold. I didn't even know they could grow to seven feet tall but this one was huge.

I was sure it was some sort of illusion spell so I swung for its knees and it clubbed me for the trouble. Thankfully Olaf here is mighty handy with his crossbow. Put a quarrel right between the eyes of the thing!

I think it is a he. Trip was in the house we liberated. There was a two headed one that was nasty and disease ridden, but this guy seemed friendly enough, dug up some gold for us too.

The bartender looks at you curiously when you start asking after Sigrun and her party.

I haven't seen them since they left to go to the morning lottery, but maybe somebody around here knows what site they're at. Could be that they're still out there - there are always many fools who think they can stay the night in the Necropolis with an appropriate watch guard.

He makes a complicated sign with hands that your own parents made to ward off evil.

While taking to the other adventurers you determine that none of them paid much attention to what sites others were being assigned aside from the Scorching Hand whose members have left. They do say you might be able to find out more from Sebti or the Pharasman Temple Guard.

For Rameth & Dwalindor

Still animated by the three headed dog, Marrn tells the story about his adventure in a scriptorium. While he didn't find many monsters, treasures or gold, the scriptorium had had a magical preservation spell on the shelving which allowed hundreds of papyrus scrolls to remain intact over the centuries, and he contracted with Ibrahim to have the shelving and scrolls hauled off for the big auction.

He also hints that he found several magical scrolls he plans to sell to temples in the city or to other adventurers.

The festival atmosphere that has resulted in Wati because of the treasure that you and other adventurers have brought out of the Necropolis, not to mention the prospect of fewer undead monstrosities lurking in the walls of the ruined half of the city, has caused the normally quiet city to become much livelier than you're used to.

The people are congregating in large neighborhood parties, with torch light and bonfires blazing merrily in the squares and along the thoroughfares towards the Temple of Pharasma. Like most Osiriani, the citizens of Wati love a good party.

The temple itself is more somber, befitting the house of the goddess of the dead, and when you arrive Pharasman temple guards are escorting injured adventurers or laborers towards a large pavilion set up to house the wounded.
