Stacking CON

Advice

What's the most con you can stack at any time with a PFS character and how do you do it?

Lets say we are level 8, con is 22... Only thing I can think of is a belt that grants a +6 enhancement bonus to con. Anyone else have any ideas to increase this beyond 28?

Well, lemme think. Under normal circumstances (barring any boons that could possibly raise it) 22 will be the best base con you're going to get at level 8. Ignoring fame and money, we'll give him the +6 Con belt, and we'll make him a Barbarian with the Raging Vitality feat. That's 34 Con while raging.

Well I'm more so looking to beef up the con of a kineticist. =)

This should probably be in the Advice Forum, but while we're here...

Barbarian Rage: +4 morale
Alchemist Mutagen: +4 alchemical
Belt of Con: +6 enhancement
Manual of Con: +5 inherent
One particular boon: +2 profane
Another boon: +2 untyped

Here is some data from a thread a while back:

Quote:

Ok, to do the MAXIMUM amount now, there are a few changes to the calculations. First, you must obtain a keep, to regenerate Prestiege as earliest as possbile. So starting at Level 4, you have Prestiege regeneration.

With the Seeker, as well as other bonuses, here is what you have:

- Barb - 323 HP
- Barb/Alch - 344 HP

Now seeing that you maximized your prestiege earned, you have 18 at Level 3, using the 15 to get the Keep, as well as the 4 you gained at the mission, you now have 7/22 at Level 4. You spend 6PP to obtain 2 extra HP. Moreover, replace the pesh with SPOILER ROCK, giving you an extra 24 HP, rather than 15.

- Barb - 332 HP
- Barb/Alch - 353 HP

With that, you now (seeing maximum completion) obtain 3 per mission, so 3 HP per level. That means you have 8 more levels to obtain it. 8*3 is 24. Not much gain without the keep, but you still gain 2 extra HP

- Barb - 356 HP
- Barb/Alch - 377 HP

Now, this is all with the extra perks. If you do not have access to limited stuff, like the Spoiler, Rock, Kirin, Seeker, or Keep, here is your total HP:

27 - Level 1 (Barbarian, Favored Class, CON 20, Toughness, Tribal Scars) [27]
13 - Level 2 (Barbarian, Favored Class, CON 20) [37]
13 - Level 3 (Barbarian, Favored Class, CON 20) [50]
14 - Level 4 (Barbarian, Favored Class, CON 20, Toughness) [64]

Perhaps there will be a mutagenic kineticist archetype... (doubt it, but might be possible!)

How do you get these?

All we can say is that they're both from scenarios, and thus not easily accessible. Campaign Leadership strongly discourages "shopping around" for boons.

So those boons can be placed on just the current chars or can you apply it to a new char?

Scarab Sages

It is safe to say that you should not rely on any boons that you can/can't get and aim for the baseline total, which can be seen above.

Let's just say that for your purposes, you should probably ignore their existence.

C. All of the above.

In its current incarnation, I'd worry about stacking DEX and CON equally as you will need the +Hit as you level up. As the Burn mechanic might be slightly rejiggered for the final product, a fair balance of both is best as you level. (I have a L7 Geokineticist)

Just to add to the list...level 6 dragon disciple gets +2 con (technically available at level 11).

But it is exceptionally useless for a kineticist. :)

As long as PFS keeps putting out super boons, people are going to shop for them, so while Leadership may be discouraging them out of one hand, they're encouraging them on the other. One thing that leadership needs to remember that many who play PFS are gamers first, roleplayers a distant second.
