The pdfs are finished and will be mailing out to Kickstarter backers in the next 48 hours. The book is huge! Over 500 pages of color goodness will be hitting your email boxes very soon.
The book is at the printer in China--and will be mailed out in real form as soon as we get it. The book will not go on sale until we send it to backers, but pre-orders can be made here and on our website in a couple weeks.
Its been a journey, but the roots of my home campaign are finally in print. This material predates most of Rappan Athuk, and may be my best work ever.
Next time I want to write a 500 page book--someone slap some sense into me:)

Thank you Bill.
I know you feel it was a long journey but I have to say that I have contributed to many kickstarters and the Frogs are the quickest at fulfilling their projects. I greatly appreciate that and this comes at the perfect time. I was out of things do read so I had started reading old 3.0 adventures (which I think I will convert and throw at them anyway) from Necromancer Games.
My group is lost in the Lost Lands now and I plan to keep them there for many years to come.
I read your teaser chapter and was very happy. Cannot wait for the PDF in the next couple of days, I will print it immediately and start reading in preparation.
I am really looking forward to the regional map too.
Thank you again...

I believe so. Any FGG book that requires a blacksmith to publish is on my "must have" list. :)

This morning I made a decision.
My group has fled from the Tomb of Abysthor to Bards Gate in our last session.
I will give them an invitation to begin the Sword of Air (they are 4th to 7th level - only one 7th level character). If they bite then we will go into this and if not they can continue the Tomb and possibly make their way back to Rappan Ahtuk when there are done, or maybe Tsar which will make more sense at that point.

Bill, I have to say that I really dug the Gamma World reference in the mutation section since I hold that game near and dear to my heart (re-writing a version of it as I type this).
Other writers hedge about it as an influence without actually saying its name (which is frustrating) - you just listed it. Very cool.

Yes--map should be out to you all soon...notice I said ALL. Since we were two months late, we are letting all backers have the map. Normally it added cost, and not everyone bought it.
Happy New Year!
Just bought the PDF version via the FGG website (i.e. I'm not a KS backer)... do I get a Regional Map too? :-)

Thanks for the map Bill!
It doesn't quite line up correctly with the Sinnar region map, which surprised me a bit. I had to squeeze the Sinnar map to get it to line up (using Photoshop). Any reason why this would be?
Also, I was a little surprised to see towns (Elise and Glaivr) so near to Tsar and the Desolation! The way it was explained in the Slumbering Tsar seemed to indicate that Bard's Gate was the closest place of civilization, and anything north of Bard's Gate was avoided.

My read: Bard's Gate avoids things to the north. The text for Elise and Glaivr indicates that goods are traveling back to Bard's Gate by sea. So the roads and wilderness aren't exactly navigable by most people and the rumors don't help to encourage people to go overland to make it safer.
Bard's Gate is the "nearest" Imperial city which I'm sure they'd say makes them the nearest civilized spot.

If you import both maps into Photoshop you'll see that they have different dimensions. I standardized them at 5077x6000 and 6000x5077 respectively and they match up identically once you get their pixel sizes the same. (Ok, I added two pixels of black for the Coast Road where it didn't connect...).
I'd love, love, love to have an unlabeled version of each for players if that is at all possible in the PDFs. Pretty please with a cacodaemon on top.
And as there was mention of hex numbers in the future. Would it be possible to let us know the starting number and pattern so the over achievers can get a jump on things?

I believe the next one will be the Northlands Saga but don't know when they are planning that.
And the one after that I believe will be the Blight adventure stuff.
Then I hope to see the campaign setting.
I was looking at some old posts and I believe Greg said that the Campaign setting would be out late 2014 at the very earliest and that was optimistic. so with that little ray of sunshine I am hoping to see it before the end of the year. I am really looking forward to the regional map that includes everything.
