These funnels mix alchemical splash weapons, so an Alchemist's bomb attack counts, right?

Liberty's Edge

Hybridization Funnel
Linkified.

And no, alchemist bombs aren't an alchemical splash weapon, so it don't work.

As an added point, using it require 10 minutes to use the Hybridization Funnel, while bombs become inerts if not used in the round in which they are created.

How are they not alchemical splash weapons?

Class Features

The following are class features of the alchemist.
....
Alchemy (Su): Alchemists are not only masters of creating mundane alchemical substances such as alchemist's fire and smokesticks, but also of fashioning magical potion-like extracts in which they can store spell effects. (etc.)
...
(then)
Bomb (Su) In addition to magical extracts, alchemists are adept at swiftly mixing various volatile chemicals and infusing them with their magical reserves to create powerful bombs that they can hurl at their enemies. An alchemist can use a number of bombs each day equal to his class level + his Intelligence modifier.

so it is a completely different class feature from Alchemy.

Then you can cheek Alchemical Weapons in the d20PSRD site and in the PRD. You will see that the bombs don't appear in the list of the alchemical weapons.

The bomb are a class feature of the alchemist, not a alchemical splash weapon.

Fluff wise they require the alchemist to mix some volatile chemicals, infuse them with his magic and then throw them as a bomb.

Alchemical splash weapons instead are compounds of volatile materials that don't require to be infused with magic to work. They work for everyone or even by itself is used in a trap.

The alchemist bombs are literally alchemical splash weapons, but there apparently is a classification of weapons called, "Alchemical Splash Weapon" that have specifications that the alchemist bomb does not fall under.

I see... weird... ok then thanks!

The Exchange

2 things.

1. Only liquids can be mixed, there is nothing, anywhere, that identifies alchemist bombs as being liquid.

2. Mixing similar or identical items has no effect. So even if you could mix bombs it wouldn't achieve anything.

Dark Archive

Even if the semantics weren't there, alchemist bombs are made and thrown in the same action. If they aren't thrown they go inert at the end of the round, you would be unable to make the bomb, Hybridize it, and throw it all before it went inert. Either way, this can't be done.

^^^^ Listen to that guy, he may be crazy but he knows his alchemy!
