Looking for foreigners companies

I'm sorry if this is the wrong place for this kind of post. I've ran through some threads and some lists, but none updated (and some foreigner guilds seem to be disbanded already).

I'm really looking forward to playing this game. Unfortunately, my usual friends didn't pledge (they are on an mmo burn out, due to recent releases and seem skeptical in general). From what I've learned so far, Pathfinder Online won't be exactly "lone wolf" friendly; especially to a noob. On the other hand, This seems to be a great community... And I know I won't be the only one jumping in alone.

So, are there any company accepting foreigners?

Thank you!

Welcome. Foreigners didn't give us much to work with. What region and time zone are you in?

Hey, I'm german and while the majority of our players are based in the US, there are quite a few Europeans and the occasional player from Ozeania in my company, The Empyrean Order (TEO). I'm looking to organize regular events during european evenings, myself. You'll likely find us in Kindleburn initially, and later-on in our hometown of Brighthaven in the south-east mountain range.

But TEO is certainly not your only choice. It very much depends on your desired play style and your actual time zone. If you give us some more details as to what exactly you are looking for, I'm quite sure this community can provide you with helpful pointers in the right direction :).

I think that other than a few hardcore groups, most of us will be open to accepting new members. It's probably simpler to identify your preferred play style and interests, rather than find out what's available and try to fit in.

I will speak for Ozem's Vigil, though. We are made up of five separate groups that never played together and will have a strong diversity component. As long as you lean toward "good" play styles, you are likely to find a home of some kind at the Vigil. We will have a strong contingent of clerics, fighters, and (when available) paladins, and will be defenders of the oppressed.

If you're interested more in playing an evil play style, I'd search the forums for "Xeilias" or check the settlements in the east - centre of the map

For more chaotic play style, checkout Tavernhold. They also share the north-west corner with several N/NG groups.

There are also lots of good aligned groups in the southeast mountains.

I'm leaving out lots of good people and details, not out of desire, but because I'm on a phone.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Sunholm is a NG international settlement with companies from the USA, Greece, and New Zealand. They're always looking for new people. You should talk to Kadere about joining them. As he would say, "Something, something Sunholm."

Emerald Lodge is predominately European. Most English (UK) but also Dutch, German and French.
We are interested in more players and if you are on European time zone then just contact me for more details. Either PM or my e-mail is in my profile.

My company, as I assume many others will, are always glad to accept European/Asia based members. We hope to establish 24 hour coverage in game for the company.

Allegiant Gemstone Company would welcome any from outside the U.S. Especially if there is an ambitious individual(s) that would like to take a leading role and setup European/Asian operations for the company while us Americans sleep! ;)

Feel free to contact me via PM.

Hey! 6 replies already! Thank you guys! ~

So... my region could rise some controversy. I'm from São Paulo, Brazil (brazilians have some fame... But I definitely don't wanna polemize). My time zone is GMT - 2 (at dst, which lasts till february). I'm replying at 9 pm (just to make it easier).

I'm totally inclined to the good side of the force. Chaotic good, eventually. And I intend to up some sort of tank (I always do that) or, who knows, maybe an archer... But I'm inclined to raise a dwarf... so, board and sword for me (or an axe, for the matter).

If you want to be a tank then you might want to look for a fighter and ?? settlement. There are several around.

Important for you will be that the settlement provides you with good armour and good weapons. In return - well - take towers, defend the settlement, kill monsters - and with killing monsters you will be a good source of recipes for your settlement - which will make the crafters happy and enable them to make better armour and weapons.

There are several active groups around which have fighter facilities:

Brighthaven/TEO - they are pretty active (not that they need any more members ...)
Ozems Vigil - they are more on the lawful good side.
Sunholm - haven't interacted much with them but you find their towers everywhere
Aragon - they are on the chaotic side - want to be raiders (do I truly advertise for them here?)
Emerald Lodge - we are neutral in the middle of them all. Still working on a more US centric group and happy for any potential active players who can lead a company.

The most-notable Brazilian in our community's been Kemedo. He's not been around for a while, but many folks are laying low until Early Enrollment.

(not wanting to appear greedy- although we don´t mind more active players- i will refrain from saying "come to uusss!!" and instead...)
Just to add to the List so far

Kreuz Bernstein(or the nice little german town as some like to call it)
is run, in part by the german guild eastern sun.
Their players would be mostly in Central European Time, which is GMT+2.

Edit: Just noticed, you would have to get your fighter training somewere else as this is a crafting settlement.

My advice would be, don´t wush your decision, read up on the suggestions, maybe contact a few groups, most have Teamspeak servers, or mumble;
Hop on there and talk to some guys, and choose the group that best fits your playstyle and has the most fun people.

Anyway;-) welcome to the game.

I don't see that as a problem at all. In fact, as a german soccer fan I have fond memories of brazil... ;) scnr. Your time zone puts you smack in the middle of Europe and the US, so if you're somewhat flexible with your playing times, you can play with either of them (join the Europeans somewhat late, or be an early bird for the US). In fact, I expect quite a few Europeans to be online at least until the first US players come online. Midnight in Germany is 9pm in São Paulo and 6pm on the US East Coast. That should work out nicely.

The good side is currently much over-represented in the game. Specific alignments are not implemented yet, but a CG character will have no problem finding a home. I don't think the game will have tanks in their traditional MMO-form; the closest thing will probably be a self-healing, self-buffing cleric (or cleric/fighter) in heavy armor. Archer, sword-and-board or axe ahould also all be available for either fighter or cleric.

So, imho you're definitely looking for a good-aligned fighter/cleric settlement. Fortunately, that is one of the most frequent combinations in the game. Your choices are (starting from the north-west corner and working my way south-east):

- Tavernhold (CG)
- Ozem's Vigil (LG)
- Sunholm (NG)
- Blackwood Glade (NG)
- Brighthaven/TEO (NG)

Note that technically, if and when alignments are implemented in their currently planned form, your character will need to stay within 1 step of your settlement's alignment. So, no LG settlement for CG characters, while both NG or CG (or even CN) would be just fine. But so far that has not been implemented and it's probably still some time until it will. I have not listed any non-good settlements, but a few of those are available as well.

I have yet to meet someone from Blackwood Glade, but all the others have been or are to some extent active in Alpha. I'm sure all of the above (and others, too) would like to have you around and a few representatives have made themselves heard already. Caldeathe is one of the leaders of Ozem's Vigil, and Gedichtewicht and Cheatle co-lead TEO. I'm sure the other settlements will chime in eventually. They'll be happy to answer any and all questions you may have to ease your decision.

That said, of course TEO is easily the biggest, bestest and coolest :).

As an aside: if sword-and-board is what you're looking for, be advised that shields are not as useful, currently, as you'd exect them to be. They don't give bonuses to defense at all and they replace your more powerful secondary sword attacks with (less powerful) shield attacks. For a pure tank, they might still work, as the shield attacks provide the ability to consistently interrupt attacks. Still, be warned to check out what you're getting before you end up disappointed.

If I take this right 9 PM -2 is same as 6 PM -5 which is east coast of USA. I would say you may be prime (ir a little early) for many of the USA players. I think eastern Canada may even be 7PM -4.
My play tends to be 9 PM -7 so I expect we will not meet, but have fun.
