Try this one it worked for me when I tried it on incognito mode so it should work for y'all.

@Meeko So am I. I am looking forward to running this game and having a sucessful campaign all the way to 20th level.

Thanks Will. I will take a look in a bit.

Nope still failed, Will. Can you dump it into a word doc and then send it to me via PM? Thanks

Cool. I have Will's character, Meeko's character, Peter's character, and Ashe's character.

Will=Tiefling (Oni-Spawn) Bloodrager
Meeko=Human Necromancer
Peter=Samsaran shaman
Ashe-Human anti-paladin

So we have arcane and divine spellcasting done, plus two specialized combat characters. No psionics or rogues or secondary spellcasters of either role at present. Play what you want, not what you think the party will need.

I have decided on the Jotun Racial Paragon. I will begin crafting a story for them.

Think I'm switching from Human to Aasimar. Seems silly to give up the other stuff they get when going dual talented human.

Works for me. Mitran celestials mingle with the population all the time.

Sweet! A Jotun! That will make for some nice brute force down the line! You will probably want some feats or magic items that will allow you to shift size down the road, but a giant can go most places in this AP pretty well. All giants come from beyond the Watch Wall, and you have most of the normal tribes in that location.

Yeah I thought the Jotun looked cool as well, when I was looking back and saw all the options that were open I almost switched but Grnad Mof mentioned doing one. And I think a Vampire Anti-Paladin is sexy. I mean it will be 9 levels until I have all the feats but beside for the whole going out at day seems pretty sweet :)

Oh and the Jotun can go down one size on there own which is pretty good until you hit Huge size :)

Heh. There are plenty of magic items that help with the sunlight, and they present a number of them in the AP. One is a magiCal adamantine coffin that seals with an arcanelock and an alarm spell, plus it covers the coffin with a mage's sanctum so you can't be scryed upon either. Another one allows you to take your heart out of your chest and makes you immune to being staked. Another allows you to move arounder in daylight but you act as you have light sensitivity while under the cloak, and you still have to sleep in your coffin at some point.

thats all pretty awesome, looks like I need to save my penies from the start :) Hope those poor mitran paladins will have some sweet full plate and some cool sword for me :)

There is a feat that I can get which allows for shifting more than one size category, though I won't need that till I hit huge size at 10th level. A Jotun can already shift one category without an extra feat.

I have decided on Stone Giant lineage. Of note, I rolled his height and he is 7' tall. Dang!

For one of my skills I took Craft: Stonemasonry if that might factor in the game. If there is no use for that I will take something else.

As for the campaign trait, I will be taking Dueling unto Death as it seems to fit the most. Honor is important to a Jotun.

Heh. Also fyi for people, the campaign trait is in addition to your two normal ones. I forgot to post that, and that was my mistake. Also remember that you get 2 extra skill points per level.

@Ashe Full plate, yes, cool sword, not really unless you pervert one to evil. There are rules for that which are a reversal of the rules in Book of Exalted Deeds for redeeming items. Also don't forget you will have a necromancer who may take feats in item creation, and that comes in handy (I did it with my cleric and made potions and wondrous items for our group).

@Grand Moff Vixen, Craft: Stonemasonry will come in handy, especially if you are taking the various manipulate stone powers for your elemental powers. There is one that allows you to use stone shape equal to your level for 1 round equal to your level + your con score, I think. Also checkout the stone tell and transmute rock to mud powers, and the various capabilities you can get with offensive elemental powers, like elemental burst. I also will allow you take a feat to get an extra elemental power, since it's the same thing as extra spell or judgement, etc for your class.

Aero Gracchus, are you still in?

Yeah Pervert with evil. I can see it now, bathing a holy avenger in the blood of the inocent and saying nasty things to it :)

Ah, book of Exalted Deeds. If we can use the ancestral weapon feat from there that would work pretty good, though I have no feat room till like level 13. Stupid becoming a vampire :)

Am I understanding that you are giving me an extra feat? Or just allowing what I can take?

Just allowing what you can take. The jotun paragons' special abilities are their elemental powers, natural armor, size, and physical prowess. Colossal rock throwing will get stupid wicked high damage, since it is double your slam damage plus 1 and 1/2 times your strength mod. So that's a base of 8d6 + 150% your strength bonus, and you should be able to throw 3 rocks at that point. Plus there is a feat that allows you to use your strength bonus for attack rolls on thrown weapons as well.

Nice indeed! As soon as I have a sheet I will link it to you. Background is still coming together. I have Hero Lab and found a source for Way of the Wicked so I can account for campaign traits.

Once I have things in a somewhat cohesive format I will get you my character sheet.

Works for me Grand Moff Vixen.

Alright. stormcrow, I have finished my character. I sent you a PM with the Google Drive link. Of note, you need to click the button to download the file to your computer. If you view it in Drive it will show as a bunch of HTML code. Once you download it, open the file. Whatever your default HTML viewer is (normally Internet Explorer) will load it and you can see the sheet properly.

Here is the background in a spoiler for you to read.

Background:
Berg is from a tribe of Stone Giants from beyond the watch wall. They live in the nearby mountains, and would come to trade on a regluar basis with those of the city. Berg the son of Thorgeir was brought along on these trips to increase his exposure to the world around him. In reality, his father kept him close as he was frequently getting into too much trouble.

Berg grew up as most other Stone Giants did with the exception that his father held a prominent position in the tribe. Berg quickly became known for being a hothead who did not want to follow the rules. Too good for him. He wanted to make his own way and set his own rules, not these limitations that were enacted without his consent.

During this time he learned about stonemasonry which was passed down from father to son as their ancestors had done. He found he liked this, crafting and shaping the things he made. Finally, something he could shape for himself.

They continued to make regular trips to trade with the city, and Berg continued to grow bolder with each visit. He would often visit the seedier side to partake in activitied that were frowned on, but because nothing serious took place the authorities frequently looked the other way. Berg was quite fond of the fights that took place, he even took part in them from time to time.

It was on one such trip that he found himself in the Thirsty Dog in the slums as he liked the ale and atmosphere there. As he did so, he overheard a man loudly talking down about the the giant tribe that came to trade. He would have let the simpleton be except he was calling for them to be kicked out and slain. "Shouldn't be allowed to live let alone breed! Wipe them evil things out, every single one!" he was saying.

This was too much to take. He sprang to his feet and challenged the man to a duel. If Berg won, the man would shut his mouth. If the man won, Berg would not frequent that area again.

A fight was set up, a match declared. They stepped into the ring and readied to fight. Berg immediately drew looks and comments on his physique. The man he faced looked tough all right, but he would see soon enough.

The call was sounded and they began. At first it seemed to be an even match, but after a short time it became apparent the man did not have the strength or constitution that Berg had. Berg settled the match when the man fell to the floor from a wicked haymaker to his face. Leaning down, Berg picked up the man like a sack of potatoes.

"Had enough?" Not content to let it be, the man continued to taunt him. "I've got friends. We'll get a party together and hunt your tribe off the face of the world! No more of yer kind to ever bother us again!"

Berg's blood boiled, so with one hand grabbed the man's shirt, lifted him off the ground, and beat him senseless. The referee called a victory but Berg would not be stopped. When he was done he dropped the man on the floor.

"He won't talk like that anymore. Take him home to be nursed back to health. Nobody will take him seriously again."

Someone came up and checked the man. "He's dead." he said, looking up. You killed him."

The guards arrived and arrested Berg. He appeared before the Magistrate and was sentenced. When asked if he had anything to say regarding his deeds, Berg responded:

The world is better off with the man dead. He advocated killing me, so I killed him for it. The feel of his bones breaking with each hit was exiliarating. I will kill again and enjoy every minute of it, mark my words." He noted the looks and gasps of shock that this declaration drew.

With that, he was taken to Branderscar to await his death.

I have everyone's character other than Aero Gracchus. We have the following

Meeko-Human Necromancer
Will Pratt-Oni Spawn Tiefling Bloodrager
Ashe-Aasimar or Human Anti-Paladin of Asmodeus
Peter Stewart-Samasaran Shaman
Grand Moff Vixen-Jotun Paragon (stone giant tribe)

So you have arcane and divine spellcasting covered, and 2 spellcastery fighter types plus a big pissed off giant that can smash things with acid or rocks. I created the Roll 20 campaign as well. I just need to set up sheets and macros, etc so we can use it. Maps are going to be a royal pain, but I will do what I can to provide them.. We should be set for Tuesday, and if I can't get maps up in time, then I can present them in other ways so you guys can see what's going on.

Cool. If you link the roll20, I will set up macros as well.

Dark Archive

I'm definitely interested in a roll20 game or any VTT for that matter but I can only do something like every other Monday... :-( no1 ever bites when I put up a request for a DM or nothing...

I am afraid we are full, Dustin. I'm still waiting to hear back from our sixth, and I have another who would like that spot. I am sorry that you can't find a game at the present time. I know what that is like all too well.

I have joined the Campaign as Tarc Novar. Sometime tomorrow I will begin setting up my macros for the game.

I may have gone a bit overboard with my fluff I started writing and didn't stop...

Fluff:
Ogren wasn't always called Ogren in fact he wasn't always a tiefling either. Ogren was originally a man named Mike born under the right alignment of stars to be incredibly lucky. From a very young age he had excelled in everything he did both sports and academic. Everyone who met Mike loved and respected him always helping him and wanting him to succeed in life.

Mike’s only real flaw was that he always had somewhat of a temper but it was something that he learned to control early on and it wasn't as if his having a temper was that different from any other young man. Mike always seemed to be perfect at everything with no real effort and there really wasn't that much effort on his part. While in school something that Mike always loathed because of how boring it was he taught himself to forge his parents signatures to get himself out of going to school.

One day after getting himself and his friends out of class by forging his and his friends parent’s signatures they were out playing in the forest they stumbled upon an old abandoned graveyard. In the graveyard they saw a symbol that was foreign to them on every grave. One that Mike would learn is really the (un)holy symbol of The Dark lord Asmodeus. Mike went home and asked his parents about the grave and the symbol. His parents after hearing the story told Mike to never return to the graveyard as it was a dangerous place.

Naturally being a 16 year old boy Mike returned to the graveyard along with his friends who all received the same warning but none of whom were told why to keep away. After spending time in the graveyard they eventually found a man one day who was looking at one of the graves. Despite being the only time town for miles and a small town where they knew everyone this man was stranger to them.

Mike went up to the man and asked him if he was mourning someone. The man thought for a moment and said “Yes I’m mourning the loss of my Lord...he was a great lord who many respected and revered but unfortunately his time was cut short because of an usurper.” The boys thought this was sad and gave the man his condolences. After talking to him for a bit he told them that he was camping out and would be around for the next couple of days. He said if they would talk to them he would be willing to give them a present as thanks. The boys all liked the idea and would have been willing to spend time with the man just to talk as they didn't meet many travelers.

Over the next 5 or so days they got to know the old man pretty well and the old man got to know them. He also became aware of Mike’s incredible luck hearing of the various near death experiences he’s had and the how things just seemed to fall into place for him. On the last day that the man was to be in the area Mike and his friends went to the graveyard to wish him off and see what this gift was. When they showed up the man somehow looked aged and withered almost as if he’d started to decay. Mike and his friends approached the old man to see what was wrong but that wound up being their mistake. They were all frozen in place once they got near him some sort of spell stopped them in their tracks. The man then went up to each of Mike’s friends and cast a curse upon them transforming them into grotesque creatures that would ravage the lands and village near by killing their friends and family’s. After all of his friends were transformed and sent to destroy their loved ones the old man turned to Mike.

He said “Mike I am what’s known as a Lich and the lord that I am mourning is Asmodeus or as you may know him the dark one. I am doing his work and giving him back the power he deserves. Your friends will be used as mindless puppets but you I will place a stronger curse upon. You shall keep your mind but it will be forever twisted. Your body through normal now will grow deformed and of the lineage of the dark one granting you great power. And your incredible luck I will replace with the power of unlife so you may be closer to what I am in power.” The old man began to cast a curse upon Mike to turn him into a devil-spawn tiefling however in one final burst of luck Mike broke free before the ritual was complete. Mike retained some of his luck and while he was a tiefling he was not of Devil lineage. His mind however was changed forever. The old man left with a smile on his face knowing he had succeeded but there was also sadness in his eyes as he knew it was not what he intended for it to be.

Mike forgot his name and found one in his mind “Ogren” it was the name of a monster in a book he once read, a fitting name given his new body. After that he wandered down the familiar path to his town. Everyone had been killed and the creatures his friends had turned into were feasting on everyone’s remains. Ogren felt no remorse at this loss not even when he saw the corpse of his parents being eaten. Ogren approved of the destruction but knew that this wasn't the way to fight back. He knew that he would have to destroy them from the inside out.

Ogren forged a letter using the skills he knew but he wasn't sure how he knew them. Most of his memories were lost. Ogren forged a letter that looked as if it were sent from the head of house Darius. The letter was to the head’s son and described the ways they made a pact with demons to overthrow Asmodeus and their worship of Mitra was nothing but a ruse to obtain power. This letter was “intercepted” and received by many newspapers some of which ran the letter. Ogren was too prideful in his forgery and left a single discerning mark that was able to identify him in the letter. Though the existence of the letter caused some damage the the house of Darius’s reputation it wasn't enough to truly bother them beyond making a personal statement and convicting Ogren’s guilt. Sentenced to life in the salt mines Ogren’s skin was cut open and a cool sapphire was used to make his brand. Causing him to bear a harsh contrast to his skin that stands out in any situation.

sorry ignore the above picture it's from an old game that ended pretty quick,

Where are you GMV!?!?!?!

Ok we managed to get you guys out of your cell and partially explore the prison. A good start so far. I have another player joining named Noel who will be an aasimar clever godling from Rogue Genius/Super Genius games. It's a rogu(ish) class with a variety of special abilities dependent on what Noel takes.

Our next game is on the 3rd at 6:30 pm.

@Stormcrow I have a quick question for you. I'm thinking about taking the extra trait feat at 3rd level and would like to take one that gives me a +1 to disguise checks and makes it a class skill for me but there isn't one that already exists. I was wondering if you would allow me to create a trait that does that.

Also I forgot to put my favored class bonus into HP so I'm going to change it from a 13 to a 14 which is what it should be I just wanted to let you know.

You mean like this

http://www.d20pfsrd.com/traits/regional-traits/keeper-of-the-veil-regional- qadira

Perfect thanks for letting me know about it. See you Tuesday

Peter is out due to some moving plans. Do you guys still want me to run without him? I can DM his PC as you escape the prison and move on. But that is up to you guys. Noel should be joining us as well.

If he's ok with you running his PC I am.

Will Pratt wrote:

I concur.

Yeah I would just run him in the background.

Just for tonight, I took my girlfriend to work who gets off at 9pm (CST). I will have my tablet which enables me to be in Hangouts and Roll20 at the same time. This will keep me in the game till I return home (which shouldn't be long).

So the group managed to eliminate or restrain all of the guards, kill the warden, and made off with a fair bit of loot, Grumblejack and your new sneaky friend, Xarian (aka Noel). Anyway, all of you are now level 2 as you plan your escape outside of the prison and onto the Old Moor Road, where your destiny or death await.

IE Go ahead and level your guys to 2nd level. I sent Rob the contents of the spellbook. Ashe/Charlie has the current loot list.

How are we doing HP each level?

Roll your normal hit points, and reroll any 1s or 2s until you get at least 3. I'm going to have beef up the opposition a bit since we have 6 players, and some of you have ultra low Con. Also as a heads up, I use tactics for my foes, so don't be surprised if the enemies react well to your plan.

Cool level 2

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1hIyWNMc-iSih5LGTk2hHlUtRy8XDhkBZTPgc1ur CoeQ/edit?usp=docs_home

loot list

my con is 12 for now, will drop to a 10 at level 3 but pick up toughness so its a wash, then at level 5 I'm undead and bam Cha to HP and Cha will be a 20 then. So just hitting level 5 will HP will jump 30hp or so. Just got to survive till then :)

Ogren has been updated. I'm going to go ahead and roll my HP here.
http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=1108605

hp: 1d10 ⇒ 9

So I had a cool idea, but it may be too good but maybe not when we consider 9th level spells and all that jazz down the road. So Anti-Paladin is poop after level 17. The capstone not great. So I was thinking about doing the ritual to become a Grave Knight after level 9. It would be +2CR which me and Stormcrow can divide up whats gained at level 10 and 11 from it or just don't level again until the group hits 12 and then I would hit 10 either way. The Vampire doesn't add to my CR as it takes all my feats, but this would be the like ultimate undead champion of evil. How cool is it that if the mitran happen to destroy you in the sunlight of Mitra you will still rise again if they fail to destroy the artifact that is your armor. Anyways just thinking for down the line. If this is a no go will certainly be taking 2 or 3 levels of another class some time. Let me know Stormcrow.

HP Roll: 1d10 ⇒ 8 Good call Ogren no reason to wait and put faith in the roll20 roller.

As cool as that would be Ashe, combining those two templates would make you damn near unkillable, especially since you are looking at immunity to 3 energy types, fast healing 5, your level+11+4 for the CR boosts, minion construction, energy drain, an aura that grants you another 1 HP per level and makes it harder to invoke positive energy, and you get a dominate person gaze plus the ability to comannd any undead you want. Oh, and I forgot about gaseous form, the +6 to 10 to all of your stats, and the 8 extra bonus feats. And the 2d6 per level energy blast 3 times a day, and the extra 1d6 damage t weapons hits per 3 HD. That's a little much to kep up with, even with an old power munchy GM like me. If you want to reset your guy and not go vampire but instead want to go with the graveknight ritual, then you cam do that. Also don't forget to take a look at the devil-bound template down the road for some fun as well. And if anyone wants, I can allow Weapons of Legacy if you want to use them.

Alright when you put it all out like that its pretty good :) No I realy like the idea of Vampire and never have got to play one besides for playing White Wolfs Vampire. So thats cool. I will just be taking 3 levels of another class or 2 and doing 17 or 18 in anti paladin. Now the question is what class. Maybe Mighty Godling? Have to look and think.

HP for 2nd level: 1d8 ⇒ 6

Heh, with my new CON I have 22HP now.

Stormcrow, go ahead and download my character sheet again. I updated it.

I have Berg and Ogren's new sheet. Ashe, your link didn't go through unfortunately. As for White Wolf Vampires, I did find a modern d20/3.0 ish template and power conversions for the disciplines back in the day, and there was the one Monte Cook did for World of Darkness d20.

May I suggest http://kmalloy.cloudapp.net/dndtools.eu/classes/master-vampire/index.html the Master Vampire prestige class from Libris Mortis? It's only three levels, gives you d12 hit dice, and has some nice abilities, like adding +1 to channel resistance per each spawn/vampire you have within 60 feet. It also allows you to add your charisma mod to your hit dice to determine how many vampires/spawn you can control (double HD normal limit).
