What level can I take a prestige class?

Rules Questions

So, let's say I want to take the baloney master prestige class, which only has a requirment of 5 skill ranks in craft (Baloney). If i've put a rank every level in craft (Baloney), does that mean at 5th level, I can take a level in baloney master, putting in my final rank, or do I have to be 6th level to dip in the baloney?

At sixth. You don't get the fifth skill point to put in the skill until you take a class at fifth level.

You have to meet all the prerequisites first; you cannot use things you get from a PrC to qualify for itself.

You'd have to be level 5, then you could go into Baloney Master.

Okay. The BM PC looks really interesting, I was just confirming.

I think the answers given are correct for all prestige classes except Baloney Master.
Going into the Baloney Master at level 5 is itself Baloney, and it is just this of which the Baloney Master has mastery.
I guess the only argument against is that the Baloney Master is attempting to make use of their mastery of baloney before acquiring said mastery, which renders the attempt itself baloney, which in turn means the Baloney Master must be able to do it.

Well, the Baloney Master does need either the Order of the Meat Stick cavelier order, OR you can use the Fists of Baloney monk archetype to get it.

The Fists of Baloney monk archetype, inspired by a fighting style that originated in New Deli.
