And Christine Schneider is from Germany, I believe.

Well, Denmark here. As for the local Pathfinder options, some regular bookstores have a few rulebooks. Public libraries tend to have them. And most larger cities has a roleplaying/hobby store or two. These stores host games in some cities, but many larger cities also have roleplaying clubs. Some do a lot of Pathfinder or PFS, other places don't really at all.

As for PFS the capital area is rather active. Jacob Trier used to be the local VL of the Jutland/the western part of the country, though the last few years another friend has taken over the task. I tend to help out and run a lot of the local games.

Hope that satisfies whatever curiosity :) It's nice to know there's others from outside North America.

As for availability, the books can be bought off Amazon.co.jp or at Yellow Submarine, which has branches throughout the country. You can also order books through any good book store, which is how I got my Bestiary 3.
Sugeeee! I know Yellow Submarine -- I visit the store every time I go to Tokyo! I didn't know they had branches in other cities, too. It'd be pretty damn awesome to play Pathfinder Society the next time I'm in Tokyo if there is a local group there...

:-)

You're welcome to make the 2 hour train ride out to come play with us.

I know of Yellow Submarine in Shinjuku, Akihabara and Hiroshima. There's one in Kyoto too. But they might not all sell Pathfinder. Akihabara has the best collection I've seen in Japan so far.

Good to know! By chance one in Nagoya?

Not that I know of, but I'll look into it Hayato-san, send me a PM.

Helsinki, Finland as well. And I too find the relative lack of other Nordic contestants surprising.

Poland. Regrettably, I was unable to come up with anything for this year's edition due to rather hectic schedule in the recent months, but I shall return some day.

Also: wife-carrying? Really? Nordics, whai u so cr8zy?

Marathon Voter Season 8

This time of the year we only get a couple hours of sunlight per day. Whereas during the summer we get too much. Messes with our heads, it does.

On the other hand, as has been proven, it does wonders for our crazy creative mania.

Another Australian here...

Is it something to do with the low number of fantasy authors here?

Lots of horror and detective/mystery novels.

Anyone on the west coast of Sweden?

This is awesome. :)

Has Paizo ever considered taking a voluntary survey for demographics stuff like this from entrants and/or voters? Like a SurveyMonkey link in the "Thanks for entering" text or emailed out to voters after voting closes?

For only 4 million of us in the country it's nice to see at least 3 of us replied to this thread ;p

Italian here, from Milan, reporting for duty!

In Italy we don't have much of a "organised" RPG scene, but I guess that roleplaying people are a huge lot.
We have some contests when conventions occurs, though, and I know of some groups upholding regular meetings in some cities, but unfortunately we don't have any play-in-the-shop culture.

I think that Pathfinder and D&D 3.5 are the most played systems here, followed closely by the Vampire RPG, which I don't know much about. Also I know of many people still playing AD&D and some playing 4th/5th edition, but to a minor extent.

I wonder if there is any other Italian contestant XD

I think there was an Italian Top 32 contestant last year? Michele La Barbera.
