Anything that gives role-playing FLAVOR!
I'm taking student of philosophy for that but all the others that appeal are also social and can't be taken so i figured i'd go for something that's considered good instead.
@Blackmane
I saw in another thread that cha is important to arcanists though I don't know why.
Anyway thanks for the suggestions I'll take another look at them.

Doesn't it really depend on how you build the arcanist? As is, class has 2-4 healer archetypes, and several other builds.
EDIT: In case you were wondering, the Unlettered and White Mage archetypes both grant access to cure spells and other healing ability. That would be the two, then you could technically make a sort of healer build via the Celestial Sorcerer Bloodline or via twilight necro-arcanist archetype, though both of those second ones really wouldn't make much of a primary healer.

The problem with magical lineage is that its only ONE spell which leaves a lot of room to go wrong and waste it.
True. Though my blaster wizard is having a lot of fun with it and fireball...and admixture, and spell specialization...and lots of metamagic feats...and varisian tattoo.
The more you stack with magical lineage, the better it gets, frankly.
But yeah, choosing the right spell is hard.

If you take the Additional Traits feat to get it, you can retrain the spell choice with the retraining rules. :D

Pretty heavy investing either way and I tend towards spending a lot of what I'd get naturally on things I like or that fit the character so I tend to avoid builds requiring heavy costs to be devestating. I'm not devestating without them but it doesn't hurt as much if I choose to take a trait to make me a better singer or a a feat to give my wizard some unarmed training.
