Recommended Products for Getting a Feel for Golarion's Unicorns?

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

As the title indicates, I'm curious as to which products, besides Bestiary 01, have some good ideas/inspirations/insights into Golarion's unicorns, what their temperament tends to be, their allies, etc. If there's a module or AP in which a unicorn is a prominent character, let me know.

I've got a few NPC ideas for homebrew campaigns or side-quests on a regular AP, and I want to see how they hold up to the campaign setting.

It's not an enormous part of the story, but the novel King of Chaos has a significant "unicorn bit".

And it's looking like that's it? I was hoping for at least a module that had a unicorn show promptly as a potential ally/encounter. Pity.

Guess I'll wing it.

Realm of the Fellknight Queen has some unicorn stuff in it, not sure if its exactly what you are looking for since I've only play a little bit of it.

Is that a module?

While I am a fan of the MLP franchise, after having looked over a PDF of that particular item, I can say that it's not that mechanically sound at all, to say nothing of the vast difference in setting flavour.

Besides, I'm liable to be GMing for a mixed crowd, so I'll stick with the default campaign setting. We're together over a passion of Pathfinder, not necessarily other things.

I would second the "King of Chaos" and also add "Queen of Thorns" (the first book in that little two-part series) to the mix. The same unicorn appears in both, and it shows two slightly different aspects (one outside the unicorn bond, and one on the inside).

The Worldwound (campaign setting book) has a couple paragraph mentions of a unicorn forest, and the challenges faced by the unicorns that still live in the wastelands there. I'm not entirely certain this was "The Varnhold Vanishing", but in one of the the Kingmaker books there was a murdered unicorn that has a brief blurb about it if the players manage to resurrect it.

To be honest, Golarion has very very few unicorn "characters". If you're looking for general material, that brings a much wider group of stuff back; for instance "Blood of the Gorgon" has a unicorn character that can be rescued and will aide the party for a short time.

Dear Mr. Keoghtom,

I loathe your advertisement for I find it to be overly pointed in its delivery.
Sincerely,

You are a cruel and merciless peasant.

There is a bit dealing with the story of the unicorn, the goblin and the peach tree in the module the Harrowing. The unicorn is guarding a peach tree in full bloom, while the goblin, wearing a paper machete head of a unicorn, attempts to convince the unicorn that he is a fellow unicorn so he may get the peach. Naturally, the unicorn fails to believe him and stands fast in the face of comedic evil. As for a unicorn PC or NPC, you could easily play one around 4th level or so given racial hit die or powers.

The few times unicorns show up they are used as victims to demonstrate how evil the evil villain is - s/he hurt the poor unicorn!
E.g. there is a mutilated one in the Kingmaker AP and one being attacked on the Champions of Corruption cover.

It's never occurred to me that Golarion HAD unicorns. :0

Not thinking anything in The Harrowing should be taken as reflective of creatures of its kind though, all the creatures encountered in the Harrowing are Storykin characters that reflect their Harrow cards more than the creatures they resemble. They're basically manifestations of the demi-plane, and not real (in the context of the narrative).
