is a 3 level dip into horizon walker worth it for immune to fatigue.

Advice

being immune to fatigue would be awesome for a barbarian, or would the 3 level dip be to much for it?

Effective immunity to fatigue can be achieved in several much easier ways:

One level in oracle with the Lame curse. (Every two levels in other classes counts as one oracle level for the curse, so you can get it by Barbarian 8/Oracle 1.)

A Scarlet and Green Cabuchon Ioun Stone and preferably the Internal Fortitude rage power.

The drug Allnight and preferably the Heart of the Fields human alternate racial trait.

Sovereign Court

A casting of Lesser restoration...it is not immunity but will be done on the cheap if you have a friend to use the wand (can use it yourself) and buy a wand created by a paladin.

Unfortunately, this is not very combat efficient, Lesser Restoration has a 3 round casting time.

Horizon Walker isn't too bad for a dip though. You get to keep a full BAB, which you would lose out on with the Oracle dip. The Oracle dip has other benefits though. Orisons can come in handy, as can having a few first level spells available. You also get the benefits of a revelation, and can start taking extra revelation feats. Battle is good for a mystery, you can pick up Surprising Charge for a 1/day pounce, or War Sight for the ability to roll initiative twice and take the best.

It's really up to you to decide what you find most valuable.

thnx for the advice.

The oracle has the - 10 ft move speed i do not like but tempting.
the ioun stone seems like a great option , but we rarely play with a vending machine style magic items style , so it would be iffy if or when it would work.
honestly i don't think the allnight option would would work , cause it says " you don't suffer the effects of fatigue , it does not say you are immune to it. in effect you are fatigued , you just don't suffer the penalties for it , and you can not enter a rage while fatigued.

Wow, never ever noticed that the restoration spells had that long of a casting time. We have been playing it wrong for a long time.

Learn something new and all that.

This may not be an option, but androids are immune to fatigue.

Huh, well androids can't be barbarians in my games now..

Dark Archive

They also cannot gain morale bonuses. I think that android barbarians would not be too much of a problem.

I'm trying to think how to build an andorid barbarian, but there's really no reason to not be any other race and then just grab a level of oracle, or muleback chords.

PS: OP, get Muleback Chords.

I actually quite like horizons walker, but taking it only for the fatigue immunity is eeeeh. Taking it for dimensional dervish and maybe the AM TERRAIN MASTER build could be fun though.

I don't see what Muleback Chords would do they don't help with fatigue or battle.

That's because it's sneaky code-speak for Cord of stubborn resolve.

Which is why we have the Empathy feat.

Rage cycling from level one if you're so inclined, though the charisma investment is pretty hefty with the racial penalty and all.

Makes them good primalist bloodragers though.

whats the "AM TERRAIN MASTER build " ?

I think that's the one that uses Extra Favored Terrain to start stacking terrain mastery bonuses that you then apply against all enemies for like +20 Th/Dmg.

Horizon walker's terrain dominance changes your favored terrain/terrain mastery bonuses into favored enemy bonuses. Ranger and Rogue have favored terrain/terrain mastery, with the small caveat that the rogue can take it multiple times and each time it increases the bonus to all previous ones by 2.

The rogue gets a talent every second level. You basically spend all your talents and feats on terrain mastery to get a ludicrous bonus against enemies of a terrain (and two slightly lesser bonuses to two other terrains) with terrain dominance, and then proceed to numerically dominate everything on that terrain.

Even better, it's on the slayer's list of slayer talents as well.

When a 1-level dip into Oracle will net you the same thing in time? Yeah, it kinda is.
