How to increase loot when increasing CR?

Been doing skull and shackles pre-generated with 5-6 players. CR of monsters increases, but the loot is killing us (players). We have far too little loot to slit. Seems like something that would be covered in increasing CR, but I can't find it. Suggestions as to where the rules are for this?

Gamemastering chapter has all the rules about loot:

-increasing cr of monsters, just look at the loot table and make it match the value.

OR

-Npc in general, have npc loot which is found in creating npc/npc chapter.
