These are Charged Staff and Charged Wand respectively. Both Recipes are automatically acquired by Artificers at every Tier.

Staff and Wand differentiation, so far, is all about the 2nd Keyword in the list, the one after Arcane.

Charged = Volatile
Diminishing = Vexing
Psychic = Mental
Quickening = Energizing
Somatic = Binding

Artificers also make Charge Gems & Charges, Effigies (Sorcerer Implements?), Instruments (Bard Implements?), and Spellbooks (Wizard Implements!).

I'm not sure where you heard "Withering", but it's not a Wand/Staff type (at least not yet), and it doesn't appear anywhere in the "PFO Wiki - Official Data" spreadsheets.

Funny story, I'd been harvesting and harvesting and harvesting hoping to get a Diminishing Staff recipe, and I could never find one. Then Bringslite gave me one (thanks!), and I killed a few things on the way back to town and got another one as a drop.

I can make Moderate Varnish +0. In 2.3 days I will be able to make Moderate Varnish +3. Soon, waiting on T2 +0 achieve to finish, I will be making armorsmith 10 gear of which I have a few nice recipes. In about 6 days, I will be making weaponsmith 9 gear and I have some recipes that will probably interest some people around here.

I don't have oak pole or advanced strips. I do have several + leather and hide sheet recipes.

Like some others here, the combination of switching to one character/account AND losing all saved exp really set me back in planned proggression. ;)

I have a nice variety of other recipes that I probably won't be able to use, but would like to get something for, i.e.: 27 gold bars for Ochre Crystal +1. That is a good deal for Nihimon cause I like him.

There is no reason that diffuse persons with recipes and skills couldn't coordinate and make some better gear with the time that we have left in Alpha.

Kradlum, I have a suspicion that there are something askew with the red droppings, at least if you have the correct knowledge at 7 (I want to compare when I get 8, but the current problem to get support from a settlement delays that).

I have killed a lot of red skeletons that only have provided me with ha handful of coppers, which strikes me as odd...

Most of the red-named mobs you're seeing are probably only level 6, and not dropping Tier 2 stuff.

Dazyk's PFO Quick Reference - Monsters lists the mob levels that Stephen gave us. The names won't match exactly to the Escalation mobs, but should be close enough for you to often get a good handle on it.

I was in the Monster Home hex just west of Stoneroot Glade last night with Sspitfire and we got a nice collection of Tier 2 Recipes, including some +3s - mostly from purple mobs, I think.

Unless it has the word "Champion" or "Hero" in it's name, there's very little chance it has a T2 Recipe. You're generally looking for the reds that are a single you haven't seen much of, surrounded by half a dozen other reds and yellows.

I used to kill those and "Very Rarely" would get a T2 recipe. Skeletal Uprising's Risen Heroes and Undeaed Champions drop more often... I would classify at rare or very uncommon.

Edit: That may just be a factor that the Undead are more common for killing than the Razmiran High Muckety Mucks.

It sounds like Nihimon and Sspifire are on to something better.

I agree it's difficult to tell which mobs are Tier 2. It's complicated by the fact that mobs of level 6-8 all have red names, but the level 6 mobs are still Tier 1.

Here's a small snippet from Dazyk's reference I linked above:

In that list, the only mob that is Tier 2 is the level 8 Hierophant. If you've ever seen a Cardinal, then my guess is that's the Hierophant, and the Bishops and Archbishops are Adepts and High Priests respectively, both of which would be Tier 1.

Right now, in the Monster Home hex just west of Stoneroot Glade, there is a very high level Ustalav Escalation going on. One particular camp had two Ustalav Legends (level 21!) in it. If you can handle those mobs, practically everything with a red name is Tier 2 - the only exception being the Knights Errant, which are only level 6.

Thod is T7 gatherer for all 4 resources - so if you need anything - maybe I have it or point me where to get it. Lodestone is rare around EL. Gold I have LOADS but it is heavy.
