Divine Caster, Animal Companion, Familiar

Rules Questions

I'm curious regarding a particular interaction of rules-options.

I know that there are multiple ways for characters to acquire animal companions, including through feats (Nature Soul > Animal Ally > Boon Companion) and also familiars (Skill Focus Knowledge (Any) > Eldritch Heritage (Arcane) > Improved Familiar).

However I'm wondering if this combination is plausible: A character through whatever means has an animal companion, and also a familiar. Could the master have the familiar constantly perched on the animal companion, and so able to deliver touch-range buffs from the caster to the animal companion, such as Cure Light Wounds, etc?

Not at range:

Quote:
Deliver Touch Spells (Su): If the master is 3rd level or higher, a familiar can deliver touch spells for him. If the master and the familiar are in contact at the time the master casts a touch spell, he can designate his familiar as the “toucher.” The familiar can then deliver the touch spell just as the master would. As usual, if the master casts another spell before the touch is delivered, the touch spell dissipates.

People forget about the line I put in bold. IF you are in contact with your familiar, and your familiar is on the animal companion then you can do it, in such a case however it is highly likely that you could also be in contact with your animal companion and therefore deliver the buff yourself.

Now if you have another ability or feat that lets you cast the spell and have the familiar deliver it without you being in direct contact with the familiar you would be fine... but again you have to find some way around the bold line first.

EDIT:
Unfettered Familiar lets you get around this rule once per day per time you take the feat.
