Someone pointed out that it has been a while since the last patch. I'm starting to feel withdrawal symptoms, I think. I build surveys and stalk the forums to bide the time. But it isn't enough! I need more! I need new features to critique! I need new excuses for killing Nihimon! I need! I NEED! AHAGHGHAAHGDHAHSGHAGHAHGASGKag;ajlgag;ajg.a......

In between patches, I've been trying out new MMOs or revisiting old ones. I've been particularly interested in searching for various grass models.
Grass in Age of Conan - 2009
Grass in Fallen Earth
Grass in LOTRO
Paradox games...my habitual crack...er, Methadone
Heavily modded (takes me over a day to set up) Fallout 3 and New Vegas...those've dragged me back recently
Rejoined Eve-online after a 2 year absence.

NaNoWriMo. Writing 1800 words every day and hoping I get to the target 50k before EE actually releases.

On a more serious note:
1. Play testing Life is Feudal (alpha)
2. Becoming familiar with D&D 5E
3. Creating a game setting for D&D to be the kick off for a PnP campaign and for writing modules and short stories.
I'm writing a web tool to digest the GW raw spreadsheets and create plans and costs (xp, time, items, achievements, feats, recipes, ability scores, etc) for any goal (item, feat) given a store of current stuff (feats, xp, items). Plus a UI to navigate the OR clauses.
It's very much like two or three other tools out there already (but not exactly). One big difference is that this one is web based. And I'm working on it more for fun than to fill a gap - though I hope it will do that too for some folks.
It keeps me busy and excited while waiting for EE. That and compulsive lurking on these forums... :)
Actually working on my 'to edit' pile...87Gb...
I held off on DA Inquisition to help fill the gift list. I'm played out on everything else I have (yep, even Oblivion, Skyrim, and Fallout). This EE hold is forcing me to be slightly productive. Not good.
C'mon GW, help a brother out. I know you're holdin'. Just one patch to get me through to EE. Just one patch... (trails off into unmentionable Chris Rock joke)
It could easily fill a small gap, for those of us that have had no luck getting python to work.
I took a layoff from gaming leading up to PFO and I'm starting to get really cranky from withdrawal. I don't want to get involved with anything new and I don't feel like firing up anything old. Rebooted Dragon Age and I'm bored to tears...
Been v busy.
But probably have a secret addiction to fifa on the iOS. Manage short games but strive for perfection each time!
There's some vs/multiplayer/coop type games I want to grab shortly eg towerfall, nidhogg, gang beasts etc. These sort of local party games are very rewarding if enough people are around. Hopefully for xmas!

Mine? So far, more PFO :D
Been playing lots of TF2, Prison Architect, Hearthstone, the PF Adventure Card game (Skull & Shackles ED), and my weekly Iron Gods PFRPG game.
Other than that, it's Star Trek on Netflix.

I found out about Terraria a week ago, been playing it every spare moment since and now I see pixel sprites and landscapes whenever I close my eyes 0.o
Will be doing the recently released episode Tangled Paths of the Living World Season 2 from GW2.

IMO the best thing to do is let the story dictate its length, whether short story, novella, or novel. A tale should be no longer, but no shorter, than it takes to tell.
@Being, yeah, they admit it's too short to be a novel. I think it's mostly an exercise/challenge in establishing the discipline and routine to seriously write every day.
I'm trying to write adventure paths (modules) with a formula of having no more than 13 events, encounters, traps / puzzles, etc and no more than one threaded storyline and two side quest possibilities.
I went ahead and installed DDO on my new computer last night. I hadn't played in at least five or six years. My characters were still there, once I found the right server.
This game is definitely showing its age. Except for Pyro's Grass and character faces, PFO already has better graphics, in my opinion.
The free-to-start, expensive-to-keep-playing vibe was very strong, with many races, a few classes, and most adventures locked behind pay walls. I know PFO wants to give whales the opportunity to spend freely, but I hope PFO microtransactions never reach this level.
I expect I'll probably uninstall DDO before EE.
