Questionon Feats

Ive made a Summoner that mainly focuses on his Eidolon. Ive chosen the feat that gives my Eidolon an extra evolution point. Ive also made it so that I can ride him. This way I can caste spells to help him cause more damage or spells to protect her when needed. Im wondering what other feats to take that would help me do this. I figure combat casting might be a good place to start and I was thinking of taking the mounted combat feat. Any other suggestions. Thanks.

Why do you need to ride him? Wouldn't it be better to stay away from the combat as a summoner? Personally I would just stand behind him and try to keep the Eidolon between myself and my enemies. The only thing I can think of is if he is flying, but then you can cast fly.
