Trapfinding without dipping for Inquisitor / Oracle / cleric

Advice

Grand Lodge

Playing the end of book 1 Jade Regent campaign and while the party semi needs another divine caster they also need someone who can pick locks/disarm traps etc.

I COULD try a level 1 dip into rogue/ninja but it weakens the overall character.

I don't think I can dig into the mummies AP for the trapfinder trait though.

Any other ideas about how to get Trapfinding so I can tick muliple boxes on the list?

The Exchange

Seeker(Pathfinder field guide) half elf oracle taking skill focus perception. (+10 perception at lv 1). Seeker trait (ultimate campaign ) taken for perception class skill. FCB for extra spells known.

If you need to see in the dark, take lunar or dark tapestry mystery. Dark tapestry is quite easily available (UM).

I tried to do the same thing, but no luck. I wish I could swap track for trapfinding.

Grand Lodge

Scrolls of Aram Zey's Focus, Aram Zey's Trap Ward, Dispel Magic, and some ranks in Disable Device.

Note: Anyone, can disable non-magical traps.

Then, there is the Wrecker and/or Seeker Oracle.

You can deal with traps better than any Rogue.

Sanctified slayer inquisitor can get trap finding at level 8.

Trapfinder trait if allowed

Slayer 2 can get trapfinding

Definitely worth asking about.

The trapfinder trait is a campaign trait for... a different campaign.

And really, this trait shouldn't have existed in the first place, since it is one of the few specialties of the rogue class. Those archetypes which also grant trapfinding are very ill-considered indeed.

1. So?

2. Not really, since 'someone has to play an (X)' is horrible game design.

Yeah, thanks to that trait, anyone can be the trap finder and remover. One trait and two skill points is all you need. Now no one 'has' to be the fail rogue anymore!! Of course, the Investigator does a role the Rogue used to fill (skill monkey) way better, and the Slayer does the other (DPS, which the rogue did really poorly) way better. I doubt there will be many rogues in games anymore. The ninja is also better than the rogue with the Ki pool and ninja tricks which are way better than the rogue's talents. Paizo has pretty much did the rogue in as a player character.

Liberty's Edge

Summons. They'll find traps for you.

Not that the rogue was ever more than a C- class to begin with.

+1. You could also take the Drow Blooded alternate racial trait for your darkvision. Or just not bother with darkvision and learn light as a 0 level spell.
