I write short stories based on my characters adventures with in paizo AP's and I hope to use my PFS characters soon. However I havnt found anywhere that mentions whether or not Paizo allows people to use their content as works of fiction. I would love to be able to self publish or even eventually publish a book based on characters.
Does any one know where I can find this information? Thanks

Basically, if you're not making a profit from it and you follow those guidelines, you're good. Using Pathfinder Product Identity stuff (so details about Golarion, specific characters canon to the setting, stuff like that) to make a profit (i.e. publishing and selling stories using it) is a no. As far as I'm aware, using your own characters would be fine as long as you only used your characters and not Pathfinder product identity info (if they're a cleric, you'd have to make up your own deity for them to worship, if they're a member of the Pathfinder Society you'd need to create your own organisation, stuff like that).
To boil it down - Writing campaign journals that include product identity content to post on your blog or whatever as a free read, that's fine (just remember to post the usage requirement notice on the page I linked). Writing fiction including product identity content and selling it, you're asking for a cease and desist notice (or whatever they call them).
EDIT: The only way you could write fiction to be sold commercially using Pathfinder product identity content legally would be to write for Pathfinder Tales, the official novels published by Paizo.
