summon Q's


Advice


my cleric is level 9.
abilities are : 14,13,14,12,18,14
total feats = 6
human.
Milani goddess with 2 domains DM added to her (special sect he created) travel (trade) + glory (heroism).
so far i tooK
skill focus (with human trait = 2* skill focus)
1: skill focus knowledge local + scribe scroll (can retrain this if needed).
3: eldritch heritage - arcane
5: open
7: improve familiar (just love my little Azata)
8: free skill focus - stealth (with wisdom in a flesh trait)
9: open

i plan on be caster > melee, but as i will have to do SOME healing, and no wizard, DM like to keep things realistic. resting is not easy - and spells tend to run low in adventures. (hard mode playing:) )

my options are to take

lunge + power attack (with divine favor and a scroll from my azata friend i aint a bad melee. )
lunge also add reach for touch spells.

conj focus + aug summon. ( hard hitting beasts that last long)

sacred summon +summon good monster (DM house role that summon good monster add to sacred list "aura" - as CG it aint much nut its something).

first option will make me a decent off melee, no need to have spells left really, and another thing to do that isnt spells.

second offer heavy hitters summons - but casting a full round casting is painful

third is heaving a short list of summon as a standard action (mostly from lvls 4-6) - to add some meat to the field - but i fear without aug summon they aint much of a aid - especially when clerics have such a great alternative spells.

I'd retrain scribe scroll for selective channel. Then I'd go with one of your summoning schemes. The wall of meat you put in from of you lasts longer when you can selectively channel to heal them and your party.

hehe.... indeed.

pitty the 5\day wont last too far...

our group is front line heavy - so it wont be too bad if i wont have power attack - although missing +6 damage when spells run low and i must fight a bit is a HUGE tax.

which of the 2 ? cant have all the summon feats....
sacred + good monster for better action economy (and nice diehard..)
VS
aug summon for , when i DO summon - people notice...


also - lunge, with enlarge person (scroll) = 25' reach - not a bad off thing to do..
god, need 2 more feats...


Listen I'm pretty sure any Q has waaaay too many HD for you to summon.

Keep in mind that you have planar ally spells. They are costly, but incredibly powerful.

true, but supreme cost and poor spell cast time mean not a common using spell.


Taking more focud on summoning.
Wonder which stat arrey:
13,10,14,12,20,14
Vs
14,13,14,12,18,14

Is a bit more wisdom worth losing dex (init, ac) and str (to hit and dmg as a will fight 20% of the time)
?
