Rules Questions

Hi wonderful people, I've been playing for about a year and haven't branched out from necromancy as my goto for a while, so I'm deciding to try the Synthesis Summoner archetype. I have a couple questions.

1st: Its says, i need to be the same size or smaller then my Eidolon, and have arms for somatic components for spells. Does this mean my only choice is bipedal? or can i be Quad?

2nd: Since my Eidolon cant get feats, does that mean my power attack and improved natural attacks, etc, improve his attacks when i use them? since we're like one being.

3rd: This one is specific for the home brew I'm about to go into, so forgive me if its a random question(i just cant seem to find the answer) but if my Eidolon has gills and swim evo's, then does that mean i can breathe under water?

You can be anything as long as you make sure you get arms, including a quadruped that grows arms (maybe like a centaur) or a serpent that ends up looking like a naga. The arms evolution is like 2 points.

Your feats apply.

You can breathe underwater.

It might help to think of the eidolon as power armor. Another point to be aware of is that other people cannot heal your eidolon because its HP count as bonus hit points, and your Base Attack Bonus does not stack with its base attack bonus. The rules for synthesist are complicated, and receive little publisher support because it's a big hassle of cheese, power-balance problems, and confusion. It is also crazy useful to multiclass with non-caster classes because it lets you completely replace physical stats you probably dumped.
