Barbarians Rage bounes HP

I was thinking of making a change to Barbarians bounues Hp when Raging. I am thinking of making it a pool of temp HP (reset when rage restored) that can only be used on a attack that would reduce you to 0 or less hp.

What do you think?

Rage cycling would cause a problem there. You might want to add some kind of rule saying that even if you're not fatigued, you can't rage for 2 times the number of rounds spent raging. Until you get Tireless Rage, anyway.

The big question is, why do you want to do this?

Would rage cyling be a isses since the about of temp is set for the day? Even if you raged for 3 rounds now and 5 rounds later in the day you would still have the same pool of hp only for that day.

Me and my player hates the fat at later level you can be ok in HP and then end rage and you died instaly since your HP droped to much.

Its generally understood that the bonus HP while raging is a trap, and its wise to all but neglect the bonus HP when making tactical decisions.

I think that this is actually a great idea, but I do not think you should call this temporary hp. Make the rage hp pool a new mechanic that follows none of the rules of temporary hp at all. Then it will work well.
