I just found myself wondering if having three monster home hexes touching Ozem's Vigil's ring was a conscious choice, or just a bonus for getting the other stuff we wanted. I think other than Canis Castrum, we're the only one's with so much opportunity to live in intersting times. (And Golgotha, but they have a cliff in the way of one MH.

I'm wondering if it is not such a bad thing to have escalation at 100% almost everywhere. With the population as small as it is, small groups or individuals can easily navigate safely through them. They certainly inhibit larger groups passing through, which may be a plus.
However, I think the fact that almost every escalation I have seen being at 100% might also be an indicator that they are too difficult for the population to defeat. That difficulty is not a combat difficulty issue, it's a time consumption issue. It's a server population issue.
Maybe the Dev's should tone the growth of escalations down considerably.

The one fix GW must do is clear the escalation mobs off the WoT respawn points.
Ah, that just adds to the fun, when the sole nekkid alt trying to take a tower is set upon and slaughtered. Any PvP group should have no serious problem removing the escalation mobs.
imo, if the local escalation is at some value, like 75-100%, then the escalation mobs should control the hex. The tower shouldn't even be captureable.

I have found them lucrative (quite) even if impossible to dislodge alone.
Different escalations are different difficulties. I was able whittle some ripping chains down about 20% with a 1000xp character ...in 5 or 6 hours. I'd have no chance against one of the tougher escalations. And yes, it was lucrative, but I certainly won't be able to repeat that effort after encumbrance is added.

I remember we were admiring Tavernhold during the Land Rush for their choice of a home with four Badlands, one Monster, and one Home touching them. We assumed they wanted to make sure there'd be plenty of tired, thirsty adventurers wanting to sample the wares.

Samples? Uhmm... is there a limit to samples?

It may be necessary for those elven types as they kinna hold their licker you ken. Dwarves should be free to sample as much as they like.
