I am having trouble defining exactly what this means based on the damage as it scales to higher levels.
Lightning Arc (Sp): As a standard action, you can unleash an arc of electricity targeting any foe within 30 feet as a ranged touch attack. This arc of electricity deals 1d6 points of electricity damage + 1 point for every two cleric levels you possess. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Wisdom modifier.
Does this mean at 3rd level the damage would be 2d6 + 1, or 1d6 +2?
I may be overthinking this in the hopes that it will scale with me a little better and actually be somewhat viable at higher levels.

Damaging first level domain powers are all pretty worthless.
I disagree.
Fore the first 5 level, they are a magical attack. And mean you are never without a usable range weapon.
I agree that after 5th level, then they become worthless.
