Music for Edge of Anarchy?

Curse of the Crimson Throne

Everyone here has been quite the amazing help, thank you. :)

I am curious if anyone else has applied mood music to the first module and found that certain themes or sound effects work better to set the tone of things. I have never actually used much music in any of the few adventures I have DMed, so I am a bit new to the idea. I played a game where the DM did use music and it really helped me get into the mood of things.

Ideas?

I've got a general D&D playlist on Spotify, I think it's up to about 19 hours by now. You usually can't go wrong with videogame or movie soundtracks, because they're designed to be in the background. I usually also have some tracks I queue up with the purpose of amping up specific encounters or areas. The Dead Space soundtrack is nice for making things kind of claustrophobic, because it likes to do those big screechy violin cacophonies; Dante's Inferno is good too. The new Tomb Raider soundtrack is good for adventury stuff, and I like the Dragon Age stuff too. The Fable soundtrack is fun for just general city stuff. Midnight Syndicate has some good mood music too, and an actual licensed D&D soundtrack.

Joe Hisashi does the Miyazaki soundtracks too, and throwing in some Princess Mononoke stuff is fun. I always like using "Returns a King" from 300 for big epic moments (like one of my players becoming the king of Korvosa at the end of the campaign). There's a lot out there, but I really like using soundtracks because they never have words and they can just blend in.
