Greater stunning barrier

Rules Questions

This is a RAW RAI question, stunning barrier says it grants a +1 deflecton bonus to ac, and a +1 resistance bonus to saves. However greater stunning barrier says it gives a +2 bonus to AC and saves without naming types. Does this mean that these are untyped bonuses in the greater version? If so great, however I feel it may not be the case based on the wording of the phrase in it's greater context. Sorry you will have to look up the relevant passages as I know not how to quote.

Thanks in advance.

Huh. Well RAI it's pretty clear they are typed.

RAW They've got no listed type.

Wow I never noticed.

I think what's intended here, since the stunning barriers are listed next to one another, is that the Greater version is referencing the Lesser version. Meaning, going from +1 deflection bonus to +2 deflection bonus.

RAW it's a little oddly written.

It would not be out of the question to take it as untyped. RAW seems to compliment this, as it is another way the spell differs from stunning barrier. Don't think it's out of place for a third level spell, and would make it viable in the presence of other resistance bonuses later on.

I'd go with untyped by RAW.
