Thoughts on a warpriest with 3.5 vow of poverty

Alright the title should explain it all. I want thoughts on viability. Pros cons. How to optimize such a thing.

I'm thinking of convincing my gm about this by i want an idea of how it could work before i propose the idea.

3.5 vow of poverty is the most broken thing to ever be released in 3.5. That said, a Sacred Fist Warpriest with the 3.5 Vow of Poverty and pummeling style would be VERY viable.

3.5 vow of poverty is a trap....

You get more out of standard wealth by levle hten out of the vow.

Now if your GM runs a very low magic or no magic campaign.. THEN vow of poverty is good, if he runs higher then wealth by level it is VERY bad.

I knew I forgot something. I know it is a trap I want it for role playing purpose. To have a goodie time.

It was not broken, its like playing low magic. you get the bonuses you should get with magic items and on the long run magic items gave you much more.

Probably the only viable option would be sacred fist considering you cant have weapons

I think hes knows but refers to this part of the wording just being broken.

"You may carry enough food to sustain you for one day in a simple (nonmagic) sack or bag."
-What if going on a multi day trip?

"You may not use any magic item of any sort, though you can benefit from magic items used on your behalf—you can drink a potion of cure serious wounds a friend gives you, receive a spell cast from a wand, scroll, or staff, or ride on your companion's ebony fly."
-So with teamwork and metagaming lots of it can be forgone?

"You may not, however, 'borrow' a cloak of resistance or any other magic item from a companion for even a single round, nor may you yourself cast a spell from a scroll, wand, or staff."
-You can drink a potion given to you, but not use a staff? You can ride a magic mount, but can not use that other wndrous item?

Last but not least, what happens to all the loot you don't take with you?
Your comrades just get more stuff, which they then might invest in items they could use to buff you.

I think the VoP Sacred Fist warpriest is a great concept, though there'd need to be a discussion with the GM to set some more guidelines on what he can do and what not. Those don't necessary need to be that strict.

I always forced the share of loot to be donated to charity

It says in the vow that that extra lootl aka your share must be donated for charities and the such.
