(Great) Cleave question

Rules Questions

If I'm using a reach weapon and also have armor spikes or Improved Unarmed Strike, can I swap weapons between cleave attacks, thus targeting enemies who wouldn't otherwise be "within reach?" I don't see anything in Cleave that says that I have to use the same weapon, but the flavor text seems to imply that it's "one strike" so...

Edit: Also, I am sure this has been answered, but, can I charge and cleave?

There doesn't seem to be anything prohibiting you from using different weapons for the different Cleave attacks.

You definitely can't Cleave on a charge, though. Charge is a full-round action, Cleave is a standard action. At the end of the charge you can make a single attack (or a bull rush or overrun maneuver) but you can't make other standard actions, like Cleave or a grapple maneuver.

If you have the UC, you could take cleaving finish and improved cleaving finish at the end of a charge. Provided you down the person you're attacking. I believe you would also retain your charge bonus, but I'm not sure.

You cannot charge (a full round action) and cleave (a move action) without some way of getting both a full and attack action in the same round. Cleaving finish is not a cleave attack, but an additional attack after finishing a foe - note that cleaving finish does not have the adjacency restriction of cleave. Cleave is a standard action so you can move and cleave, just not charge.

Thanks for the help with this! Also, how do Cleaving Finish and Cleave interact? If I (great) Cleave, and hit A, then finish off B triggering cleaving finish, can I use cleaving finish for another attack on A? If I have Great Cleave and Improved Cleaving Finish... This could get rater silly pretty quickly.
