So this is a homebrew game were you are going to be getting mythic levels.
You were all born and raised on Hermea
All characters must be human, elf or half-elf and be 16 years of age at the beginning of the adventure. You have never met your parents whenever you ask about them the villagers simply tell you they went on an important mission and will never return.
You all live in the small village on the edge of the island called hope were the people worship a long dead goodness called Elpis and you are being trained since a very young age to fight by a group of old mentors who seems to know everything about the way of battle and who you have been told were some of the greatest warriors who ever lived.
Each of you also bears a strange rune on your forearm since birth. Nobody can or will tell you the origin of the mark or what it means.
20 point buy for stats. The first mythic level will happen round level 5.
Average gold.

Well, HP per-level is an important consideration. As are any additional restrictions (i.e. Synthesist Summoner), additional sourcebooks (all Paizo? Core rulebook only? Companion books? Anything on the PRD? Etc.), and so on.
Also, for Mythic: What's acceptable for Legendary Items if that route is chosen? I usually go for a modified staff that's thematically appropriate for the character (and designed to scale with the rest of the campaign - no early access to higher-level spells, no free offensive spells, etc.), but I'll need to reconsider my options if I'd need to make an existing item legendary.
@Lord Foul II: I remember reading in one of the campaign setting books that Psions exist on another world in Golarion's solar system, though I'm not aware of any psionics rules that Paizo has put out.
Lord Foul II |
Non-evil alignment.
Synthesis summoner is ok.
Remember the place were you live is a Utopia there is 0 crime, no monsters, no danger at all.
Yet your masters have been training you relentlessly to be the best you can be. They are training you to fight evil in all it's forms.
that is third party, it's dream scared press I believe

@DireMerc, there's a Hermean concept I've never been able to play: the near-genetic-perfect superman with a single 'flaw' (non perfect stat), desperately seeking to prove himself.
I'm not sure it's going to work in an all-Hermean game though.
What is the minimum attribute level, please?
Also: 16, so we haven't been tested for citizenship yet?

I'd also like to allow perfect humans who simply have +2 to every stat and no other racial bonus. (like the azlanti except your not of azlanti descent)
I am interested. That actually is better than core human (you can swap the feat and skills for +2 to one more ability via the dual talented alternative, so this would give 4 more +2's, albeit in secondary stats).
That being said, color me interested in human cleric of...something? Are we going Galoran Pantheon? Also, will there be issues with animal companions keeping up?
Hotaru of the Society |
I think I'm in love with this island. Where do I sign?
((Dotting for watching purposes... and plotting.))
Two minor questions:
16 years old for full elves... how old does that translate to?
How many traits?
Two more I thought of:
What are the domains of the deity linked, and what are the requirements for a paladin thereof?
It's odd I'm asking these when they don't really affect any of my character concepts... :P
Pathfinder Zoey |
Dotting for interest but a lot of question
1. You mentioned Perfect humans but I'm unfamiliar with this, am I right that it trades +2 to any Ability, 1 feat, and 1 skill point in exchange for +2 to all Abilities?
2. Would you allow the new hybrid classes?
3. What are your rules on crafting?
4. What happens if we fail the Test at the start of the RP?
5. What happens in the case of death? The caster I'm working on has 12 ac and 6hp
6. Since we have no parents are all the players part of the same school or orphanage so to speak or are we on our own?
7. I have a friend that wants to apply as well would you be ok with a package deal? Both of us or neither of us, as we want to play together
I think thats all for now may have more later
DireMerc |
Seranov:
Try to describe you relationship with your master and how you feel about your situation.
Zoey:
1. correct
2. Yes
3. Go ahead
4. Don't worry about it.
5. I have that covered too.
6. You live in the village of hope, a small town were everyone knows everyone and the entire village is like your family. You live with your mentors old warriors who teach you how to fight.
7. I cant promise anything you can both apply and if I like both your characters I'll let you know. I'll work out the master once I know the players.
Here are some sample master feel free to create your own too...It is assumed you have one master who is training you but that you have had a few lesson with the others as well.
Joley: The wisest of the mentors Joley is the master of the arcane and divine. Somehow despite the goddess being dead he can still perform minor acts of healing and is often called upon to heal the sick or injured in town. His time with his students is mostly spent teaching magic to those interested or telling them stories about monsters or other planes and worlds. One of his favorites subjects is astronomy and the other worlds that exists in space thought most believe them to be simple fables.
Zack: A gruff soldier to his core Zack has more scars than wrinkles despite being incredibly old. Zack barely talks at all especially not about the past. His training is the hardest of the group and often ends in bruises but it certainly is effective.
Andrela: Angela walks with a cane since she lost a leg in combat. Yet she is hardly slowed by it despite her advance age. She can still spar with her students and nobody has managed to hit her hit thought you often feel the sting of her walking stick. She is the most solitary of the mentors and live in a hut on the hill separated from the village. While her skills with the cane are impressive her true talents lies in archery and tracking.

Complete Application, I think,
Tormod is a human fighter with the Two-Handed Fighter Archetype.
Strength 18
Dexterity 16
Constitution 16
Intelligence 13
Wisdom 12
Charisma 12
Weapon Focus: Spear
[spoiler=Trained Skills]
Ride: 1+3+3=7
Knowledge Dungeoneering: 1+3+1=5
Intimidate: 1+1+3=5
His living space is a mess of epic proportions, old clothes lay across his bed and he sleeps right on top of them. Several practice swords lay underneath, some whole, many broken and all showing signs of much use, evidence of his hidden devotion to his martial training. Tormod is like his mentor, devoted to a facade of being utterly carefree and only as good with a sword or a bow as he is because of natural talent and gifted ancestry, but he trains exceptionally hard. He is almost always up later than the other recruits, practicing forms and strikes on dummies in private or with the one-on-one tutelage of his mentors of the day. He rolls out of bed hours after everyone else, and is happy to let them chalk it up to laziness but it's usually due to his late-night training with his mentor, Alkhazad.
Alkhazad is a strict mentor, but flexible in his willingness to use whatever approach his students require in order to learn effectively. Once he has made a commitment with his students, however, he expects them to follow through. He meets with Tormod every night because Tormod does not want to practice and train with the others, or even at any point he could be seen by the others, but if Tormod were to start shirking his commitment or not showing up, he would be awoken by Alkhazad sneaking into his room and striking him with one of the young man's numerous training swords, or even a metal rod. Alkhazad lives in "the corpse of the old keep" atop a small hill in the village. He calls it a keep, but even in it's heyday it was more of a wide stone watchtower, and it has fallen into considerable disrepair in the last century or so. Alkhazad, when he ever sleeps, sleeps in the top of the tower, while the exercise chamber and Tormod's sleeping quarters are in what was once a very large cellar.
Thalion Hopson |
Here's Thalion Hopson, mostly complete:
Thalion grew up a happy child. Splitting time amongst his three mentors and basking in the care and upbringing of the good folks at Hope, Thalion was never lacking in attention. While he spent most of his time with Joley, learning how to channel his gifted connection with Erastil, it was Andrela's rare words of praise that Thalion most sought after.
Yet, as Thalion enters his sixteenth year, a sour note of anxiety threatens to upset his idyllic life. The test for citizenship is upon him, and Thalion dreads what failure in the test could do to his utopian existence...
Human Cleric of Erastil (see profile for details)
Support/Healing cleric, with ranged support*
*Be scared...he doesn't learn precise shot until level 3!
Questions:
1) Traits?
2) Equipment/starting gold?
Riven White |
Here is the first Draft of my Arcanist, I'll be adding her story to the profile later today but I'm pushed for time at the moment sorry
A few more questions as well sorry,
1. Like the others, How Many Traits do we get
2. Are we allowed to Reflavor magic/magic items? IE: A stun spell being a hook that traps the target or the mage hand item being a different shape
DireMerc |
Don't worry about Nohwear
1. You can all choose 2 traits
2. Sure.
Started looking at characters and I see a few I like.
Tormod and Thalion Hopson look good.
Riven White looks like a good fit but would like a bit of personality description same for Freya.
One question comes to mind why Sister Minela Teg? because she is a monk?
No real comment on victor, he seems alright but a little weird. He's a genius who makes potions to make himself smarter while sacrificing his body?
So a cleric, a fighter and most likely an arcanist and a ranger.
I'll hold off a bit longer but final decisions will be made tomorrow and we will begin.

Miyoko was born a bastard. His mother was a mistress to the master of a noble house. He fancied her exotic look. She hid the pregnancy to not dishonor the man. Fearing how she would support the child she decided to give it up. This too would help protect the master and herself from any dishonor. She took the boy to a small village at the edge of Hope Island. She knew the temples there would look after the boy.
As a young boy Miyoko proved to be physically gifted. One of the old mentors took notice and made Miyoko his pupil. The years passed and Miyoko grew. Now at the age of 16 he has became a gifted warrior. He seeks to find the meaning of the rune on his forearm.
Went short and sweet on the backstory as it seems we have spent our life training for something. Hope you like. Will make alias if selected.
Hotaru of the Society |
Flare and Riven are a paired selection, please and thank you :)
Flare is a Bard that I intend to blend with Paladin (of Shelyn) as the levels move onwards. I don't know precisely how I'll split the levels, but I do know I'd like to have 2 bard and 2 paladin fairly early. From there it's up to whichever seems more of value to the team, I think.
This means that Flare will be able to adequately hold her own in some ways, while being poor at still others, and not-particularly overbearing at anything. :)
Here is a link to Flare's profile page.
It's not at all uncommon to find the girl covered in clay, paint, or some other dapple marring her complexion. She's never seen without her stoneworking tools, and has learned to weild an unusal polearm with a concave, hooked blade. When she isn't crafting, and thus is likely training, she wears a suit of armor crafted with the patriotic colors of the country, a set of parade armor.
When resting or alone at home, she tends to wear more comfortable, loosefitting, or artistic clothing, depending on mood.
She is always quick to hop into assisting another in any way she can, sometimes to their chagrin... if they don't particularly want, or feel that they need help.
She is softhearted and passionate, especially about the island's culture, the history of the world, architecture, and art in all its pursuits. With that passion, however, comes a streak of anger, most often veiled, but seeing another's creative pursuit destroyed, or their personal freedoms stripped away is a very quick way to make an enemy of Flare.
Isabeau, a half-elf, lending to her younger appearance compared to the other teachers, is her true mentor. Unlike most of the other mentors that the group has, Isabeau doesn't seem to bear any scars, although something struck the woman blind in the past. Despite this, she still practices art in many forms. Dance, Song, Story, Sculpting, Painting, Writing... she manages to do nearly everything, despite the loss of her vision. Certainly, she can no longer paint what she sees, but she still makes wondrous works of art through a combination of talent, instinct, and muscle memory. No one can argue that the woman is a walking work of art, and a fine mentor. She has marked upon Flare's personal canvas an understanding that art is made for the sake of others, and that beauty must be included within any form of advancement.

I've got crunch done but it's a lot of messing around to get it into a profile, so I'm just going to post the fluff now. I made him one of those "Perfect Humans" if that's okay, because I thought the contrast between his birth and his curse would be a really neat thing to roleplay. :)
Nikolai von Ulmen, Human Life Oracle
Nikolai tends to favor light clothing in blue, greys and browns, with the occasional splash of green. When necessary, he wears his armor over his favorite adventuring outfit.
Nikolai, like most teens, is not free of his emotions, and sometimes his god-given difference leaves him morose and introspective. It shows clearly on his face, for the young von Ulmen wears his heart on his sleeve.
When stressed, Nikolai loses the ability to speak in anything than a airy, chime-like tongue. Sadly, this prevents him from communicating the way his compatriots do, but he has learned to use his body language to help explain himself when these bouts occur.
Doran is, however, the best man to teach the young von Ulmen. His injury gives him unique qualifications to assist the boy, and his experience and studies with divine magics allow him to help lead the Nikolai to the path of good.
