What I mean by ordinary spells is not necessarily utility spells but the spells an ordinary non-adventuring wizard would be interested in. Things like prestidigitation, endure elements, mending, control weather, sort, glasssteel, hygiene, clean, locate object and the like. Spells to warm a room on a cold morning, change a person's sex or trace the ancestry of a particular person..

No idea, but dotting because I love spells like this. I'm playing in an all caster party where I went the pseudo-melee route of Eldritch Knight, and it's proven wonderfully freeing because there's no point in me taking offensive or buffing spells because others have those covered and at far higher DCs and such. So I just take the off the wall useful spells and it's been fantastic fun.

It's called hedge magic , right?
I found Two Dozen Discoveries: Spells by LPJ design.
Also a similar thread on rpgnet mentions The Practical Enchanter a free d20 supplement, which has a hedge magic feat, which is mentioned in this excellent Hedge Magic Heroes blog. This thread has a few more links with hedge magic spells from the same blog series

1001 spells has a lot of good ones. Particularly the low level ones. There are 101 0-th level spells, many of which would be very useful for non-adventurers.
