I was reading up on the allowable races for PFS and it stated that some races, such as in the advance race guide, not specifically allowed can be available in PFS by using a boon.
Under boons, it looks like the easiest way to get them is go to a Paizo organized event (like Paizo con). However, the text seems to say that these boons can only be applied to existing PFS characters.
Is this true?
The reason I ask is I want to make a Goblin Swashbuckler for PFS.

To expound on what Arachnofiend said, the race boon is applied to a character that is technically already created, but it must be the first chronicle on that character.
Boons are tradeable, but far as I know the goblin boons were only made available once and there's probably not much chance you can get your hands on one that's still available at this point.

Thanks for your responses. I didn't really understand boons and didn't realize how specific they were. I'll live without a goblin PFS player.
One reason I wanted to play a goblin was they have a well known mythology and it would be fun to play against type ( a little guy who is all bluff & bravado and having too much fun chasing people around with his pointy stick to worry about being cowardly and craven). I don't really know the history of a Wayang so it doesn't do much for me.
Do you get a boon for just playing in a Paizo event or do you have to do something more?
Anyway, I getting ready to GM the "Mummy's Mask" adventure path and will likely have a large group. I'll just add an adventure party of npc goblinoids to stir things up.
