Hello all,
Just hit 3rd level in PFS, and I'm looking for some advice on feat selection. Here's my build so far:
.
.
.
Human (Varisian)
STR 17
DEX 14
CON 14
INT 10
WIS 10
CHA 13
Bloodrager 3 (Spelleater archetype)
Traits: Friend in Every Town (+1Diplo/class skill), Indomitable Will (+1 Will)
Feats: Improved Initiative, Power Attack
Bloodline: Arcane
I fight with a longsword; I can two-hand for the same damage bonuses as a two-hander, but I'm not hosed if I get grappled or need to fight while carrying a macguffin or whatever.
(You can also click my name to get an idea of my concept/backstory.)
I'm planning on my first bloodline feat being Iron Will. And once I get an item to boost my CON (possibly an ioun stone, since I'll want my belt in STR), I'll spend my next feat on Raging Vitality, which I don't currently qualify for. That'll likely be at 7th level.
So for right now, here's what I'm considering:
Cosmopolitan: Grabbing a couple of languages and class skills could help make him more versatile. But which skills would I pick?
Toughness: Make up for not having the d12 HD that normally comes with the rage penalty to AC.
Steadfast Personality: Extra buffer on those Will saves (at least, the ones that really count). Only +1 at the moment, but will scale up a bit.
Thoughts? Thanks!

I second Improved Sunder (or maybe Improved Bull Rush/Overrun). Having an option for something other than "I hit it really hard" is always nice.
We've been seeing so much trouble lately with martial characters failing will saves vs charm, dominate, confusion, etc... That I would strongly consider Improved Iron Will for any martial character. Even with Iron Will, you can still roll a 1 or 2 sometimes. That re-roll can be a life saver for everyone in the group.

I know it is a boring feat, but I really like Weapon Focus for PFS melee types, since PFS allows you to pick your weapon of choice. +1 attack is a pretty nice bonus.
With regard to your plans for boosting STR and CON, I would suggest that you consider getting yourself a CON belt ASAP and grabbing Raging Vitality at level 5, instead of 7. If you drop below zero HP, Raging Vitality will likely save your life -or a lot of PA. ;)
With your STR at 18 after level 4, a +2 to STR gives you an odd STR bonus, which is not as useful as an even bonus. Combining that with the fact that your raging STR will go to 22 at level 4, I wouldn't consider that as high of a priority as getting Raging Vitality. 4K for a +2 CON belt, then 6K to upgrade it to STR and CON (when you have the gold), might be a lot more cost effective than spending a ton of PA getting ressed.

Hm, you may have a point. Good thing I have two whole levels to think about it. ;)

Have you considered Improve Drag, Jenter? I would have said Improved Reposition but that requires Combat Expertise.
The Drag maneuver is from Advanced Player's Guide, pg 321. You drag an opponent no more than one size larger behind you. Sort of a reverse Bull Rush.

So, trying to keep myself from getting distracted by future feats, my top considerations for 3rd level are as follows:
• Cosmopolitan (getting Bluff and UMD as class skills could help, right? And more languages never hurts.)
• Improved Sunder (Stupid archers, I chop your bow in half!)
• Improved Bull Rush (The only maneuver that can realistically put the target in harm's way!)
• Steadfast Personality (Because Will saves.)
So among those four, what should I consider when narrowing it down to one?

Cosmopolitan and Steadfast Personality are meh.
Can you be any more specific than "they're meh"?
Improved Bull Rush is only good if you take more feats in the chain (you want the enemies adjacent to you, not farther away).
Yeah, thinking about it more, it was probably only looking good because I played my last scenario on a ship.
Improved Sunder is your best bet if you just want the one feat investment.
I was already planning on getting an adamantine weapon eventually...

If you don't know what skills and languages you'd pick, you don't want them bad enough to spend a feat on them.
Steadfast Personality is a small bonus to only certain kinds of Will saves. Until you get that headband, you're better off taking Iron Will. At least save it for later.

What did you do with the skill points that would go there for level 1 and 2?
